I want to try a non-cata build for pvp, the build revolves around getting huge crits with dethrone.
So its finestra 10+hook vs finestra 15+20% medium damage.
I will be trading trot and rush for bigger crit potencial, what do you think ?

Trot snd rush for PvP imo
i would not pick hoplite as my non-cata pvp build (however in pve hoplite is great)
the best non-cata pvp builds and the ones who gave me the most trouble are something with either corsair c1 murmilo, or corsair c1 fencer.
fencer is just very strong and murmilo’s tankiness is hard to beat and his helmet counters restrain and other CCs
definitely not hoplite though.
as fatedhour said as a cataphract i don’t even need any rank 8 skills, just trot and rush and you’ll probably lose easily.
forget about critting in pvp, humans have MUCH more crit resistance than monsters.
I would highly recommend something with sword 3 fencer or a murmilo if you want to pvp well with a swordsman.
With hop3 you have +150 crit rate + 20% damage from passive you could also achieve 4 gem slots using spear/dagger. So using 8xlvl ellaganos, 2 sissel, max peta, 3 lvl 7 green gems and going 100 con > dex you get ~ 600 crit rate.
Crit chance = (c.rate-c.resist)x42/200
450 c.resist(full con+ aias)= 31,5% crit chance
300 c.resist(full con dps)= 63% crit chance
100 c.resist(most dps builds)= 100% crit chance
You can go past 600 cr if you get armor pieces with cr and if you choose to use a lower lvl spear with 3 slots you can get close to 700 I beleive. So its a fair chance to get crits even on full support clerics and considering that dethrone has a huge base damage the 1.5 and 1.2 modifiers from crit/hop passive goes a long way.

critting is not really your main focus in pvp tbh, its more CC and survival
hoplite lacks any kind form of CC whatsoever, honestly if dps was the concern in pvp people wouldn’t build so much con. in pvp damage has more to do with attribute level weapon enhance and base skill damage tbh.
If you gonna pvp with that build anyway, then i highly recommend a corsair circle for hook that way you’ll have a good form of CC
i’m telling you this because i play a hoplite too and it’s pvp performance isn’t very impressive to me - i just don’t want you to get disappointed and reroll
but if that’s what you want go ahead 
I have a sw>pelt>hop2>corsair>doppel>dragoon2 and I do very well in PvP. For PvP only, Corsair c2 is better than Doppel c1 but DoV and DPE are better for PvE and I chose it over 5 extra seconds of Iron Hook. I don’t regret it because right now everyone’s damage is super high and standing still for 15s is suicidal. If you have good team mates, Corsair c2 wins hands down. That won’t happen in TBL.
I like pelt for +18% eva bonus which is huge with high dex and ella cards. I dodge most physical attacks and I can C block when rooted or during iron hook. Long Stride is awesome against clerics in safety zone.
Anyway, you want huge crits with dethrone? Get high dex, ella cards and green gems. Hop c2 is enough for PvP purpose.
