PvE - Inquisitor vs Plague Doctor Circle 2 - Who is better?
(Note: Inquisitor received nerfs on Ktos on one skill).
So what…
For mobs?
For Bosses?
None, both has pros and cons +different setup to get highest DPS, they completely depends on your style…
Inquisitor basically need chaining combos, so it’s button masher (Pear Anguish only nerfed on 1 aspect of PvE and PvP-wise, nothing majorly changed)
PD 2 basically just spraying everything + healing factor while those skills will do your damage+healing over time

I have both, a Paladin-Inquisitor and a Miko-PD but with low end equip. For bosses PD outshines Inquisitor. It’s very easy to score the first place usually. Inqusitor can often manage the first place too but it’s more tricky. The boss may move out of your wheel, so that you effectively wasted it. And the pears may not trigger for several reasons (plus this will be fixed, so no more super dmg).
For mobs I also feel like PD is better. The inquisitor wheel is very nice for bursting and removing mobs in a big area but it has a rather long CD and it costs 1k silver each time. PD can spread Black Death Steam into every corner and then burn many mobs at once with Incineration for strong dmg. Feels more fluid and doesn’t cost anything. Plus you can overcharge both skills twice.
The big downside for PD is that PD skills don’t stack. If you have a second PD in your party the usefulness of your skills diminishes fast. Inquisitor is also better against mobs with high magic defense at the moment.
@Gurgle As an Monk-Doctor I think I will go Inquisitor. Never stop spam skill.
I think the Incineration is awesome, and with 10 Seconds only for the skill, plus the debuff time added, it is an auto killing machine. But Since I’m not INT based, My fear is that it make not worth go Plague Doctor Circle 2. Right?

Yeah, just go with Inquisitor if you don’t have a very strong support base. PD2 isn’t going to be ideal since it’s a DPS class that can’t be built around by a support team (you’ll be filling a DPS slot and you can’t support and can’t be supported).

With Monk and no int Inquisitor is definitely the better choice in my opinion. The way magic damage works right now your PD skills would only deal proper damage if you get your hands on a good (transcended) weapon. And there’s more synergy for your skills and stats (assuming you went dex) with breaking wheel, godsmash and pears.

Inquisitor Malleus Maleficarum will both increase your Incineration time (casue it’s a debuff) and increase incineration damage (it adds like flat 1,3k per tick to my skills being druid inqui). Overall, it should be nice damage.
