Hello Community,
What is a good PVE build? Im not interested in PVP, and am looking for a good PVE build.
If possible a build that inclused some AOE, but considering im looking for a PVE build those are included anyway.

Cleric 2 > Diev 3 > Miko/Druid 1/Other fillers > Plague Doctor 2
Possibly the closest you’ll get to God-mode on PvE without much investment. The Miko advancement quest is way too harsh for a newcomer, though. Very good initial build that can get to endgame without any problems and can be your first stepping stone for other builds.
Cleric 2 > Priest 1 > Paladin 3 > ? > Inquisitor
Another good PvE build with tons of boss damage with Inquisitor’s skills (Pears of Anguish kills bosses left and right). Can solo all the endgame dailies and with investment can shine on ET and World Bosses. Leveling with this is a pain before Inquisitor without investment (things like Cafrisun, triple ele dmg hats, arde, a decent Five Hammer, etc), wouldn’t recommend as a first build. Recommend Plague Doctor (immunity to status ailments, extra dmg with Incinerate) or Kabbalist (infinite mana, revenged sevenfold + Pears combo) as Rank 7.
Starting as other classes is more painful as a newplayer since you’ll lack basic leveling gear and consistent income from dailies to support your lack of… well, being cleric.
Is cleric the only viable starting class?
I’ve never really liked being a healer / buffer. I’ve looked at the skills on those builds and they seem to be mostly that. The carving build also seems to be very static (having to create a statue each new location to fight), would this be bad for PVE?

Doppel is the best PVE AOE-DPS Swordman class. You can’t go wrong with both build i mentioned above. 
Not the only viable, but definitely the one that will give you the less headaches and the one that performs the best without good gear.
As the other guy mentioned, for PvE AoE Doppel3 variants are the best when well geared. I wouldnt recommend them as a first class though, Swordsman classes tend to suffer a lot when questing at the 230+ range without Grynas set and good MDef accessories. I started as a Doppel 3, it is possible but youll end up having a lot of downtime and spend a lot in scrolls and potions.
