Pure cleric/support and party doesn't go well together? Make EXP distribution equal by default

Anyone else feels the same? I only started, Im level 13 and Im a Cleric. I can heal a lot but my dmg is terrible. Now, thats expected since I want to be full support, the problem starts when Im joining a party. Im doing the least damage, so I get no exp unless the party is set the distribute EXP equally, and most of them are not. I actually get more exp when fighting alone in the same area with the same people than when I join a party with them and do the exact same thing.

Other problem is that they have no reason to invite me. My dmg is bad and most of the time, while grinding, nobody needs healing, and when they do, they can use my Heal tiles anyway, even when they are not in my party.

The only way to lvl up is to grind alone or ask party to change the setting to redistribute EXP share equally, but why would they since they do most of the dmg? I just feel useless.

Wait … You’re saying that noone enable xp share ? XD

Either you encountered a total douche or you can tell them gently, i’m pretty sure most of them genuinely thinks that the share is automatic as long as you’re in party

Well, the only party I’ve been in where the EXP was shared equally was in my own xD

I dont know, maybe at this (still low) level, people dont even know that they can change the settings? Maybe its better at higher levels.

Yeah, it not being enabled by default is strange…

On top of the fact that a lot of the party setting options are kind of confusing due to translation/lack of explanation. Equal Distribution is the only thing I can really understand…

I knew this was going to happen to healers. Maybe they can possibly add in the options that only you or a party member can use your heal tiles. That way there’s less hassle and stealing from clerics and more incentive to invite them into parties that will benefit each other.

Another problem is that the settings are reset to default when the party leader relogs.

You should probably report that if you didn’t already.

As for the problem itself, the initial levels are way too easily soloable. I’m currently steamrolling everything in sight with my archer, swordsman and wizard. Leveling as a cleric is a chore though, especially if you go full support.

Yesterday I got to Tenet Garden with my wizard and joined a priest. The leveling got even easier because he was tanking for me, so I didn’t have to run around like an idiot. I’ve reached level 30 in no time. So there are incentives to invite a cleric/priest, just that it also kind of works solo, so most people don’t realize it.

Douchebags apart, I think if you want play a full support class you have to arrange a good group/guild first.

Being full support and alone always is a pain, every time, with every game, not only tos.

When you join a party check item and exp distro, and ask leader to make it even. If refuses or ignores you, just leave, no need to discuss, you lose time.

problem would have been easily solved if they allow healer to gain exp for healing other players base on how badly wounded the players are.

My advice for partying as a FS Cleric are tell them to enable exp share >_<
We aren’t healing a bunch of people out of the goodness of our hearts!

For soloing, find places with “Dark” property monsters, your skills do double damage on them.

(PS your right they should have it as a default)
