Psychokino Teleport cannot pass any form of uphill terrain

I have Teleportation Lv.15. Unless the terrain is 100% flat or going downhill it does not move me any distance.
Even the slightest, smallest raise in elevation will cease it’s function entirely, as shows in picture.

Can someone find and copy paste one or my “how teleport works” posts, am eating right now…

Well will do after I finish

EDIT: ok am back  hope this help and nothing has changed since last time I teleported :expressionless:

bottom is a rough idea of how random teleport works and top is rep of directional teleport…

all comes from my imagination, so it might vary from how it actually works

I’d just like it to fully work. Thanks.

it is working as intended…

 I hate that line too but it’s true…

the reason it stops teleporting with directional teleport is cause at the other end of the teleport it detects that the destination is an unwalkable (< is that even a word) D: cell and we all know you cant walk on unwalkable cells, so it stops before you do the impossible xD

it should pick a random closer destination to it, but that’s too muh work for the perk of choosing direction :expressionless:

be glad it sucks less than swap, poor thing can pass as small brick on the ground :pensive:

Swap and sadhu Oob makes me cry, thanks for relieving this painful memories :sleepy:

If something happens that causes it to not work for whatever reason and that something is “intended” then lord oh mighty this game is run by small ducklings who will never leave their small pond.

ok, let put it this way, you are jumping a hole, but you know you cant reach the other side…

do you still jump?_?

that’s what kino does when he teleport

Yes because I’d rather Sparta myself down a hole than live with these offensive atrocities of game design not being fixed or brought to attention.

What the hell are you even talking about?

From what I see, OP talks about terrain elevation. Not cliffs or holes or other “unwalkable” cell like you say.

Even the slightest, smallest raise in elevation will cease it’s function entirely, as shows in picture.

Inside an obstacle looks pretty unwalkable to me. :tired:

I agree that it would be a lot better if we could just teleport upwards a desired location and I’d prefer that it were like that too, but what he said makes sense.

Very small hills = walls/obstacles to Teleport, which is the point of the problem so idk what point he’s trying to make… But to call such a failure in design intentional is just unacceptable. I’d never want to imagine IMC intentionally designs things poorly.

Not sure if something was changed or if it’s a similar situation as OP’s but I was able to teleport in Solmiki Tower from below the stairs (stage entrance) to the stage ground above. This was last week.

If you can WALK uphill then it’s not an obstacle.

And if we talk about obstacles then why can you teleport through actually impossible to go through terrain like in Sanctuary or Royal Mausoleum for 100% map discovery?

Yes, Teleport works actually better when you try to glitch it instead of just using it properly. It’s pretty amazing.

And in TBL at the beginning of a match when randomly it tries to teleport you to the audience stage while you’re near the arena walls using the skill you get teleported to the middle of the arena instead. I’ve tried it once but not exactly sure if it’s how that works.

Ok first, I was refering to destinations like inside walls. But I don’t disagree with you guys, now that you said I remembered, there are some small bricks or small obstacles in some maps that you can walk through but are already just enough to make teleport fail, and that bugs me too.

The example about Teleportation going through walls (that are possible if the destination is on the same level) is one thing, but the game just reads the direction you wanna go without considering the height, so in an uphill the game understands that it is impossible because at the same level there is no ground since it’s an uphill. Is it a design failure? Yeah. It’s just that what he said still made sense, at least to me, even if it’s not an excuse.

It was a metaphor, they are quite common on my planet

@praquenicknickpraque you got it perfectly, just cause one knows and tell how things work it doesn’t automatically means one agree or is happy with them :expressionless:

maybe I should create more images about it am not that good with words, though am worse drawing

A metaphor for not understanding basic English, sure.

If you can walk in a straight line from point A to point B you should be able to teleport there as long as point B is in range. No cliffs, no holes or any other imaginary metaphorical obstacles.

I don’t have a Kino but Sage’s Blink has the same issue: if the terrain goes uphill, Blink will fail.

Basically it’s just sloppy and lazy design yet again.

bullshit, that’s why night-crawler and any teleported must see and know exactly where they will teleport to to do so…

if you want to teleport blindly just use random teleport and it will make sure you land on safe ground

one thing is what we want and other what we get, learn the difference early on your life before is too late for you :unamused:

and sorry am not an expert at my 3rd language, am sure you aren’t an expert at your 3rd basic language ether >.>

that is bullshit too.
top image works in many games and should work in this
