[PSA] Temporary Boss Crash Solution

I tried it but still crash, sad…

Next time I fight a Boss that has the Red Bullets, I’ll be sure to record it
to show how I get through it.

Me And my friend, Cataphract And Pyromancer deactivate all graphics options And my mount, And kill with only basic attack. No crash this way.

me and a friend still crash during red bullets even after trying everyones trick , my question is , will they fix it or just ignore it till the end of beta ?!??

They aren’t ignoring it.
They updated the Known Issues as of 11/18/2015.
They are most likely solving it now, and will probably be fixed before the weekend.

Alright, I don’t know what’s going on with the forums, but I can’t save my Edit in the
Original Post.

But here you guys go.
Video Solution on How it’s done.

I also came up with another theory why this might not be working for everyone.

If you have a low end PC, the frames might be dropped below 1 FPS which causes the crash.
Someone like me who is usually at 70~120 FPS when not recording is dropped to about 12 FPS
when the bullets appear.
Not too sure.

I had the same problem on Blue Spirit boss on Vieta Gorge.
Solved by walking very far away when it started to shot rage bullets.

And even far when my framerate dropped.
Normally my FPS is about 120, but drops to 15 with bullets, also disabled FXAA.

**How i FIXED this. **

Steps:

1) FXAA - Enable. (for client_toss.exe) in Nvidia Graphic Driver.

2) FXAA - Enable (in game settings)

  1. Enjoy.
  2. Share information for other players.

I just now did this, I’ll test it in the next Boss fight.

I tested => client crash

Yup, I tested it too.
I’ll continue with my method. lol

@Alastor, Thanks for adding more suggestions though.

5 my friends did this and have 0 crashes today, idk why its not work on your pc.

We all playing with VS and only FXAA no more graphic settings, try to test with settings. Yes [quote=“lankaino, post:27, topic:118780”]
VS suppose to be V-Sync?

Yes

VS suppose to be V-Sync?

-EDIT-
Well, I did this and it still doesn’t work.
Also, @Everyone, I encountered a new problem which might explain why you guys are always crashing.
I’ve now gotten to the Blue Woodsprit boss.

REGARDLESS if you run away and do my method.
You’ll crash no matter what.
So now it’s officially bugged for good.
At least on Bosses that crash you no matter what during Rage Bullets.

I cleared the more advanced version of this boss just now in Poslinkis Forest and did indeed crash with the Green Woodspirit boss prior to clearing it. I simply put my Companion in Rest Mode and actually did dash, not walk, out of range of the red bullets of crashing in order to avoid the crash. Do note that I did run away to the point it wasn’t on the screen and far enough that the bullets would be completely out of range.

I was trying to kill the Corrupted, and the mob casting gust always crashed my game. After I turned off the “FXAA”, the FPS drop still was there, and the game still crashed with the gusts. The second time I tried after turning off the FXAA, I’ve run away from the Corrupted when it started to shot the bullets, to the point I was seeing only the end of the bullets, and I was able to kill him. Tried the same thing with the Green Woodspirit and the game haven’t even crashed once.
But the fight with the Corrupted was a nightmare, the game crashed something around seven times before I deactivated FXAA.
(Sorry for the bad english.)

There are no fixes for this. The game is broken. Judging at how my friend never got DCID or any of these dumb crashes, it’s most likely Hardware compatibility issue. Somewhere it just chokes. Funny, since I played a ton of games that are heavier in the graphics department and yet this completely crashes/slows down with how terribly made the bullet effects are.

Why must we trade bugs?
one is fixed and another is formed…

The only solution for now is to leave a member off the screen of Boss just in case it shoot its pellets and cause a DC. There is however a time limit you need to kill the boss off quickly before you crash again. So if it did crash, not all will be out of the map as 1 player assigned is still in the map and allow the others to restart the client and come back in the LVL 130 dungeon and not wasting your entry allowance to try the boss again. It works for us as a group. Hope that the bug will get debugged soon.

Turning off mount worked for me, though it had nothing to do with teh mount actually hitting the boss during it, since I was cata and was mounted. But didn’t crash again after I turned mount off. Maybe it has something to do with a companion or a target who is related to a companion taking damage? apparently it isn’t the same issue for everyone though
