Well I guess I’m eating my hat, because I was one of the hopefuls expecting IMC to actually hear the cries of how swordsmen had no viable DPS circles compared to archer and wizard and would actually give us some of the love kTOS got (0 CD skyliner, better Cyclone).
But, in a move I didn’t expect, they’re actually nerfing kTOS Highlanders and Doppls down to our level:
Well, there goes that dream, maybe Rank 8 Dragoon or Lancer might still have something up it’s sleeve…
Not sure how much it will help but swordies got plenty of other buff in KToS. Isn’t like it will be worst than now.
Are you trying to forget the
60% restrain
58% concentrate 15
Various Barb buffs including a much stronger Pouncing and 50% Slashing.
Various Rodelero buffs
Corsair buff
1.3 physical attack per STR
1.2 block penetration per STR.
Hitbox improvements.
Because of Skyliner and Cyclone…
Stahp.
Right, the only glimmer of hope is that there’s no where to go up but up from here. I know myself and others were hoping that we would get some of those skill buffs that make HL3 and Dopl start to look more like a viable dps option, but obviously that’s not the case.
There are other buffs that are coming and it’s a move in a right direction, hopefully IMC keeps going in that direction, it’s just disappointing to see that they backtracked on something that was going to at lease give one clear route for swordies to go if they wanted to DPS.
One clear route is bad. Diversity is better for the metagame.
