Hi there.
I recently purchased a PS4 controller in order to play ToS with it. So far so good, but I am not able to make the trackpad work while the game is selected as the computer’s main process. I use inputmapper, so the trackpad works wonderfully when I am not ingame, but as soon as the game is the selected process, I try to use the trackpad, but it is irresponsive. I have seen some people posting that they are able to use the trackpad as a mouse in the game, and I really want to know what I am doing wrong, because having the trackpad as a mouse will make me take the hands off the controller like, 70% less.
Thanks in advance!
i dont have my ps4 anymore, but from what i remember it wasnt an actual track pad. its more like a big directional button? idk how to explain it better i guess. I never really used it much so it might be better than i think…
There is a way to move the mouse with the joysticks though. Just hit the right bumper button+start to enter ui mode and you can move mouse with joystick.
Another option may be steam controller. i dont know how well it works though
Thanks for the reply!
So, I saw some people reporting that they are able to use the ps4’s touchpad as an ingame mouse, but mine only works when I am not in the game. I am able to use the ps4 touchpad as a mouse while browsing the internet, for example, but that is the only thing possible, since when I select the game, the pad just won’t work. I, as mentioned, use the inputmapper, and still can’t make it work while ingame
Does anyone else use the ps4 and is able to use the pad as a mouse? Thx!
