An issue that is otherwise being worked around through a barter economy is the market price ranges for items: You only need to look at the price of dilgele on the market in Klaipeda or Self Bows in Telsiai to realize that something is wrong.
I think that a community effort would be more appropriate to help fix the issue of market price ranges, but I would need a few things:
- Excel or csv or some delimited text file of all “tradeable” or “marketable” items in Tree of savior either through ToSBase or from IMC themselves. Fields I would need are probably item ID, item name and preferably the current minimum/maximum market prices.
(If the data is good ol’ one to one or one to many it shouldn’t be too hard to get tabular data that can be thrown on a google sheets or even a simple web form/db) - Not a commitment, but just mere acknowledgement that the current market price ranges are problematic and that IMC may review the market price ranges that the community could submit (notice me IMC senpai!)
- Community input on price ranges
If we have these few things myself (or someone more suitable) could set up user estimate price ranges for the various tradeable items in game.
Some problems off the bat:
- Their market/item database may not be set up in a way that is easy for them to get the needed data (Blame the DBA).
- People putting in inappropriate price ranges on items.
- This would stop “legit” silver from being transferred
- This may or may not get completely ignored, either way I think it’s at least worth a shot.
Is this a viable (or even wanted) solution? Is there any way we could improve how we could go about doing this or the situation in general?
