Which is better? Hail seems to be underwhelming.
hail is SO MUCH better than prominence, prominence is random almost mele skill that have bad compatibility with ele and quickcast.
also at bossing Hail is one of the best skill for Ele to do damage.
but still take prominence 1 level, it’s useful sometime.
You probably just need more levels on your Hail. Increasing the duration/hit count on a damaging skill is always good, and much better than increasing base damage.
Hail is much better for bosses in general and especially against those that are weak to ice like bosses in lvl 190 dungeon.
Individual hits might seem a bit weak even at max level, but you should consider that it lasts really long and if you make sure that boss or bunch of mobs eat most of it’s hits, it adds up to so much more damage than what Prominence does.
Prominence is very situational and even in those situations it’s just an unreliable meh.
C1 and C2 Elementalist might feel underwhelming in general, but once you’ll get C3… holy f***. So plan ahead how you want to use your skill points with C3 in mind.
