[Proly Game Breaking] Attributes Sticking after skill reset even if attribute requirements not met

Please fill in as much as you can :

Game Control Mode (Keyboard/Joypad/Mouse) : Keyboard

Where it happened (which map, which quest, which npc, etc) :
Klapedia, Priest Master

Bug Description :
When I was still a priest I maxed my blessing damage attribute to rank 50, and when I turned Chaplain I decided to use a skill reset potion. Thinking I just needed 1 rank of blessing since I already maxed the attribute. Later on I saw forum posts saying that blessing needs to be atleast rank 3 to be able to learn the damage attribute, and I visually confirmed this to be true with the priest master NPC. To my surprise even if mine was only rank 1 I was still doing + 115 damage with blessing cause of the attributes, which was supposed to be only +15 damage without it.

If possible can you send a skill reset potion my way? I feel kinda guilty using this bug accidentally.

Steps to reproduce the issue :

  1. Find a skill attribute that has a requirement ( example: blessing additional damage, required atleast rank 3 blessing)
  2. Fulfill the requirements to be able to learn the attribute
  3. Max the attribute
  4. Use a skill reset potion
  5. Place only 1 level on the skill that you attributed prior to skill reset
  6. Use skill, notice how the attributes still stack even when requirements were not met

“Required Rank 3” means you have to be rank 3 class or higher, not skill. I remember trying to buy something even though I had rank 5+ in a skill for my swordsman, but it said it required rank 3. This restriction continued on into peltast. Then I realized it meant class rank 3, not skill rank 3.

Nope, you only need to be rank 1 priest to be able yo learn blessing damage attrib. But the priest master clearly states that I need to have rank/level 3 blessing to learn that attribute.

Here’s a link from tos base, and it’s clearly shown in the requirements that blessing 3 is required to learn the attribute.

Darn, this sure is game breaking

@STAFF_Julie @STAFF_John

did u ever get a answer from this? is this intended?

This was something around when I still played and they were cracking down on people abusing it. If that’s what you’re asking?

oh! aww sad that ur not playing anymore x.x

so that means it is not intended and u can get banned for it?

sadly this “bug” is still around
thank you!

It was forever and a half ago and there’s been more game breaking things than this they’ve never fixed. Pretty sure they never intended on keeping attributes after reset or over capping. Just a matter of if they care enough to ban people which I doubt at this point.
