Priest or Krivis? (Monk)

A single point in it is all it’s worth, at least for leveling. It’s damage is negligible and, to be honest, it’s Defense buff isn’t that great unless you’re going full plate armor. At C1 Priest I’d recommend Max Bless, 4 Monstrance, 2 Ress and 1 Aspersion.

Altough I think that’ll change when the game goes retail. Aspersion is one of the few skill that are % based instead of giving flat bonuses. And level 15 Aspersion is 48%+ Def, and that’ll probably be LOT near level 600.

But for now, 1 point is enough. Right now I’m following this build: http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/build/0y9k7xacae/

Monstrance 1 because it’s DEX bonus doesn’t scale. In fact I’d like to know if it’s a %DEX bonus, some people say it is, or if it’s a flat bonus. Right now it’s always +19 DEX for me, but I haven’t tried dumping all my points into DEX to see if the bonus increases. One point in Revive because why not? And max all the OP skills. Any tips and comments are welcome.

1 icoin for ressing, why even waste skill points on Ress this CBT?

Both are viable options, so it comes down to your personal preferance.

However do note that priest buffs except aspersion fall off lategame pretty hard.

As do Krevis C1 buffs aswell, however Krevis C2 offers quite a bit of power through out your entire playthrough.

Also keep in mind that leveling krevis and priest will be two entirely different experiences, so brace yourself for quite a bit of slow leveling and hand-to-head wacking of monsters for the next few days, if you are planning on taking priest.

I’d rather keep my iCoins for resetting, so I can test builds and understand the game better. Never wasted it on Ressing. But you’re still right, because if you put 5 points into Ress you’ll have to reset later to use those points in better stuff.

Edited my post to recommend only 2 points on Ress. And I put 2 because there’s nothing better to spend points on, even at Priest C3.

Did you get your extra adventure journal icoins? Because I have reset several times across different characters and I am still at around 200ish coins.

I was never able to talk to that NPC for some reason…

Oh… You get chunks of icoins to the point where you won’t even know what to do with them…

Which NPC is it? i have no idea of this. LOL

In Klaipedia to the right of the warp statue there’s an NPC with a feather icon on the map. IIRC her name is Rena.

She will open your adventure journal and you will have little chests you can click close to the exp bars in order to claim the icoin chests.

Yeah, just searched for this problem. Apparently using the mouse to talk to her doesn’t work, you got use the keyboard or joypad… Will try again tonight.

She’s called Wings of Vibora, or something like that. She’s in Klaipeda, to the far right of the fountain plaza.

Monk 140

Cleric => Krivis C3 => monk

The monk becomes really powerful with bonus krivis in full dex (str is useless) my critics reach 4-5k.

Zalcia => 135 crit LV15
Divine Stigma => 78 str LV10

He is also wearing one second USELESS weapon with the monk, the secondary attack have not added skills.

Could you share your build? Wasnt early-mid game pain in the ass? Thank you for response.

hi going monk here, im already cleric>priest>priest, cant deciede which to go next priest, krivis or paladin?
priest only give you 34 additional damge is it good?

i’m 160 monk, if u want to do a dex monk go krivis there is no discussion about that. If you are doing anything else that is the way i think monk will be played go priest go priest 3 or dont go priest at all, it’s not about the dmg i see my self doing partys at the “late game content” and most of the time im the healer that does dmg too, monk is in a pretty delicate situation where you deal less damage than most of dps (Barbarians>highlanders>elementalists>sappers>Wugushins>Fletchers…) the list goes on and on you prob one of the bottom 10 dps in this game, on top of that every class can get to monsters easier than you do, ranged can hit from distance and swordsman classes have the sprint while you take year to get to the mobs and your aoes are fckd up, my aoes split the monsters away from me and the knock up most of the time bug things under or above me. Prob for bosses monks are in a good spot, but you spend most of the time in this game fighting mobs to grind for money,gear,xp or w/e and in that situations you gonna be relegated to healer that can help a lot with dmg when needed, thats the way it is

now you got me thinking if monk is a good class to begin with

im gonna roll the krivis monk because you can put more str and have greater critical attack this way.

With 50 points in spr and 100 points in dex you have like 68 and 130.
This mean with zalzial you will have like 388 crit rate without gems. Add up items and you have a decent crit rate for lvl 280. That will let you put like 150 points in str or put more con.

With mosntrance you need to spend like 200 stats points into dex to reach that crit rate.

That means that while the priest dmg buffs gives you like 340 of holy dmg. The diference between a krivis monk and a priest monk is gonna be 175 of str (more dmg and more crit attack). This is a lot of dmg with skills.

Also there are a lot of priest already, if you bring a krivis with daino a linker can do real magic.
