It…actually was what I thought the class system is like back when I first heard the news (before any clarification)
You’d have the choice of either growing the class(es) you have or pick up new ones, but you’re still limit to however many ranks there are (not to mention that usually higher class skill will have better attack bonus, so per-skill-point efficiency leans towards high rank class)
And while I highly doubt it’ll happen (for now, I mean we don’t even have rank 7-10 classes out)
This also opens up possibility of having past-cap job level, something similar to GW2’s gaining skill point even after cap to unlock more skills or Diablo 3’s Paragon, though here it’ll be for unlocking classes on the tier you didn’t pick any + grow them…
Meaning while there’s 10 tier of classes, you can actually get up to 30-tier of leveling to get 10 C3 classes on one character.
You’ll still be limited by hotkey/buff slots so after a certain point your reward for the effort is very limited.
And certain combination will still be impossible to get since you still pick one of the two classes for each circle…(no Squire +Corsair for pirate camping experience '. ')
It’ll also give people who hit cap level a reason to still grind…even if it’s a small one.
But imagine, Fire Pillar + Hangman’s Knot.
Divine Might + Spell Shop for some super high level Sacrament that last for a long time.
