Premium Account Features Suggestion vr2

lol these are pretty useless premium stuff though hahaaa… and then if they do decide to add one, of course they’re gonna make it better which will probably make it 'premium to win" like Archage lol anyways, if it’s gonna stick to this idea, they should also allow buying/repairing items inside the lounge since it can be done only in town. It’ll make premium worth more $$ and will not make a huge difference between premiums and non-premiums.

@Monokoi
well people were angry that my previous suggestion were game breaking. so it became this.

Makes sense. This must be why some P2P mmos hAve went F2P over the years and why you pretty much never see F2P games to P2P.

I don’t really care what the cash shop consists of. I’m still going to throw money at the screen.

AGAIN THAT THREAD? AGAIN? ffs

I really don’t know what you guys know about economy but it seems like nothing at all. At the moment we have more than 30,000 users registered in this forum and in july the site traffic went over 600,000 visits. So let’s say we are tolerant with multi accounts because of the icbt, we maybe have around 15,000 users and that’s a very careful estimate. And I don’t think that all accounts who logged in at the home page are also registered in the forum, because i visited the home page at the very beginning and my registration in the forum wasn’t conform with that.
So 15,000 people playing a game on one server and paying 10$/monthly, that’s 150,000$/month and 1,800,000$/year and you want to tell me that’s not enough to rent a server and pay the employees… please get a life…

They are probably on the 5th grade and playing on dady’s pc.

Honestly though discussion I think should be less about what’s going to cause people to quit… And more about the effects of abusive cash shops on a game in the long term…

The thing most people don’t pay attention to is how corrosive bad cash shops are for building a player base. Games with much less abusive cash shops tend to keep growing. Games like Path of Exile or DotA 2 keep growing because it retains players. Even if players leave they still want to come back if they get bored with other games, or when new content gets released.

Now if the other hand players are leaving a game out of frustration of being nickled and dimed or imbalance between paying customers and non-paying… Those customers are less likely to return after you put in new content or when they get bored with their other games. And you can also do lasting damage to your brand with frustrating cash shops. If you look at what’s happened to Perfect World Entertainment you can kind of see how they’ve slowly eroded their player base. Neverwinter Nights Online in particular was a big let down in the American markets for them. And they’re relying on their pipe line and acquisition of other successful games to pull them out. Games like Warframe–Perfect World announced when acquiring Warframe they would not influence the cash shop or the development because they understood that their poor brand reputation had a negative impact on the continued success of Warframe.

This isn’t to say that you have to be an angel to be successful. You look at Maple Story which targets casual audiences and their pay-for-power shops seem to do just fine. Ragnarok still manages to putz around with their cash shop. So it can be more related to what your audience expects. Take games like Hearth Stone which is one of Blizzard’s biggest money makers right now. Card games the audience expects to be charged per pack and they are fine paying for Hearth Stone as it is.

I think anyone on the internet that wants to play ToS probably wants a cash shop like what Grinding Gears has. That’s the magical super shop of milk and honey. A shop that makes everyone happy and keep the game growing. With basically free localization and scaling servers they could probably do just fine with that. But we’ill see if that’s what they decide to go for or if they try and emulates Gravity’s cash shop. The lazy way to do it would just be to monetize the same or similar to the Korean shop just to save on development time.

My question is why is this thread even in the beta feedback? It literally has nothing to do with the beta. I feel like it should be moved to the suggestions section.

But try to tell this to these folks around here.
They will tell you that “mobas, arpg, bla bla bla” is not the same game, and they love toxic cash systems.

lets be clear, which of my current suggestion for premium account is pay2win

Facepalm Path of exile was never successful its bottom tier. Path of exile is growing? are you serious? How many content patch does it have every year? one? two? three? the answer is ZERO. Sure a cosmetic-only cash-shop appeals to the NEET players but discourages the real customers. Seriously don’t bring that crappy cash shop in here,

discourages the real customers

pleaze ask LoL players about how good is that system (i dont like that game but should admit they did fine with the shop).

OH WAIT, better ask RIOT how much money they earning with that system.

####COSMETICS ARE THE WAY

EDIT: Its funny, u make me laugh irl, the real customers, yeah, these guys who makes the 75% of the people leaves the games. Yeah i know, is nice to spend money on a game to give support or just take advantage/dont waste time yeah cool things; but this is something that affects most of us, and says where/how the game will go. You can meet these “real customers” on some dead games, playing vs no one because everyone leave p2w games. Is not like we didnt saw other games with p2w bro. BTW yeah i said a moba, so, what about path of exile, or archeage for example.

I hope no one is dumb enough to compare a match based MOBA and an RPG with persistent elements oh wait NEETs.

And as usual you would say “cosmetics are the way” even though I just debunked your silly idea.

check the last message, its edited, was reading you while writting. BTW, how you debunked my idea? comparing genres of games? yoooooo so debunked, they are different worlds.

Also, you are like these kids just thinking u will have reason cos u spam same things every time? NEETS NEETS, when im not lul

I’ve already told you Path of exile is bottom tier, there is literally zero reason for any upcoming game to copy their cash shop, you might as well make the game Buy to play or Pay to play if you want a cosmetic only cash shop in an MMORPG,

Thats their problem, IMC can make perfectly a cash shop purely of cosmetics adding every month new clothes/skins. This game is very customizable, specially knowing they care about the details. Shouldn’t be a problem.

Anyway, i dont think the cash shop was the problem on path of exile, on my opinion that game just suckd at min 1 of release, just another diablo copy. TOS can be considered a diablo-like game but i think they will improve the mechanics. Add to that we are talkin about the “spiritual sequel” of Ragnarok, isnt the same population.

THEY WON’T BECAUSE ITS NOT PROFITABLE. Seriously.

Although LoL or Dota are mobas, this system is profitable. I just dont know any RPG with fully cosmetic cash shop and im lazy to search now one, maybe someone can help with that. But at the momment, the system is PROFITABLE.

Hint: persistent element. Here we go again “its profitable bacuase I say so”,
