Pre-CBT suggestions

Just gonna make a small list of things I’d like to see in ToS from both myself and other community members.

Colorblind mode: I think this one is pretty self-explanatory. Whether it be item rarities or pvp names, people with some form of colorblindness will have a difficult time distinguishing between them. Though 3 basic types should be added: Protanopia, Deuteranopia, and Tritanopia.

Login Screen Settings: Again, it speaks for itself. You should have the option to adjust your screen resolution, details, sound, hotkeys, all that good stuff from the login screen.

Icon Resolution: Because people seem to think that’s a big deal…

Permanent access to login server: Basically let us have the option to log in and create a few characters while still keeping the game server down. This way at least we can have a character ready for whenever the beta start and can really take our time with them instead of just rushing in so we can play.

Skill/Stat Resets: This is a pretty touch topic. Imo, skill resets should only reset your skill levels down to 0 and refund your skill points while retaining your class choices. For example, if you chose to have Swordsman rank 3, a skill reset will not change that. These should be cash shop items and should have a lengthy cooldown per use, like 14 days or something.

That’s all I have for now. If I think or any more I’ll add them in.

For the Login Screen Settings wouldn’t it be better to put it in the patch screen in case the settings in the login might not be clickable due to size difference?

For most people that’s not an issue. This is usually the result of the default resolution being set at 1920x1080 so this issue only happens to people running a lower resolution. But that being said, a simpler settings could be added to the patcher to change resolution and windowed/full screen mode.

eagerly waits for an ignore list

Eh… I might like a jukebox with all of the ToS songs to make my own list to listen to when grinding since I’d rather have a list than have 1 song repeat for a few hours in the map…

what about making a playlist on youtube tho the only game I know of that sort of feature is runescape…but it only holds 10 songs when there’s like a thousand or so different tracks lol

Granado Espada had a jukebox and since it was made by IMCgames, I think it’d be fairly easy for them to implement it to this game.

skill resets should only reset your skill levels down to 0 and refund your skill points while retaining your class choices. For example, if you chose to have Swordsman rank 3, a skill reset will not change that. These should be cash shop items and should have a lengthy cooldown per use, like 14 days or something.

If the reset item is a cash item then there’s no need for a long cooldown because it’s balanced out by costing real money. It’s only non-cash resets that should see a long cooldown, and that only needs to be 12 to 24 hours.

Otherwise, I have no objections to your proposed limitations on resetting.

Colorblind mode

This is probably on their to do list. But it’s no priority.

Login Screen Settings

Honestly this is rare in MM games in General. What they will do like most games is simply code a simple XML editor into the flash launcher like most MMOs do. So you’ll click that gear icon or setup and then you’ll get dropdown menus.

Icon Resolution

Probably like the first one something they’ll think about later.

Permanent access to login server

I am 100% sure this will never happen unless they have a Login Server separated from the Game server. And since they don’t right now. Theres a good chance it will never happen.

Skill/Stat Resets

Thats a topic for another day.

If you play via Steam then you can already use Steam Music Player (Shift + Tab > Music) then add the BGM folder and songs you like to your playlist. (read more here: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=5460-QTPM-9243)

I am generally against resetting. A char which is good at leveling may not be good in PvP and vice versa, Without resetting players will have to carefully decide the roles they want and stay with their choices. With resetting people can just choose the skills that help them leveling the fastest then reset in late game for maximum effectiveness in PvP, results in a less variety of builds and character types. But OP said retaining class choices and consider the class system mechanic I guess it will have a much less impact. Just my opinions.

About making it easy for players to config settings before starting the game, I think it’s a must! It’s necessary and it’s so simple to do, I can’t think of any problem for the developers to not implement it as soon as possible.

They do have separated game server from login server - at least if they keep the same network design than the previous CBTs.

Anyway, I agree 100% it’s not going to happen  It just sounds like a very bad idea from devs PoV.

i don’t like Skill/Stat reset :confounded: for me it just removes the uniqueness of each player, Example a battle cleric build, we need a support for this quest, ill just reset to be a support,… well i don’t mind having it but it will be bad, its like, why even have choices for skill if i can get it anytime i want xD
