Ratting at someone who is just levelling? What will you do next, my little socialist?
I am currently PL-ing my 8th char. If I have to do all the quests again, I’ll hang myself.
We should prevent noobs from makin a noob post like this one. Crying cuz ppl stronger than them are on his grinding place - well, welcome to the jungle baby! Thats how it is on mmo’s and life isnt diferent, so work hard be strong or die. So if i am 225+ cleric who cant beat fletchers damage ill write to IMC change MVP system? Points for healing? Rofl.
Like Lubu sayd, I have lots of characters and I dont want to repeat all game quests of low lvl! Also, i called you a noob cuz if uin fact quest its faster lvling - except for lvls 70-90
My typical level up experience is
Quest till I finish Crystal Mines
Grind cafrisun area
Quest until tenet garden
Card till I can get decent exp from Garden
Grind at tenet garden
Quest till 50 and save cards
Do 50 Dungeon
Rush quest till Maso
Grind events
Do 90 dungeon
Rush Quests
Grind DP
You can usually get to the DP grind on the end of 2nd day if thats all you do.
Time for the long ass response that noone gives a ■■■■ about, hurray
There’ were only 2 Saviors after these responses that actually formed an argument for themselves and responded to mine, so congratulations @Sixaxis and @Darkness2 for being reasonable.
I usually grind there from 73 - 74, i do this so i can save enough lvl 3 exp cards to jump from 80 to 86(exp reset). Thats not the point tho, it’s irrelevant whether i need to grind in that map or not, depends entirely on what route we follow when we’re leveling. What really matters is not being able to grind in that map because of Powerleveling, there are only 4 channels in that map for Silute and that was the only one with a working Device, all the other ones were on cooldown.
I don’t think so, lvl 3 Exp Levels are only usefull before the 86 exp reset, they don’t need to do all the level 3 exp card maps after they’ve been powerleveled after that threshhold, which they can easily do at Constructor’s Chapel.
Next person!
Wat? I never showed any interest in joining their party, i(am) was angry because it affected my gameplay, i can’t party with the 280 guys, i can’t compete against them for the spots. I don’t care if players are being jackasses, the reason why i made this post is to discuss and condenm Powerleveling, i’m mad at Powerleveling being a thing and everyone turning a blind eye to this.
■■■■ that, is this what will become of Tree of Savior in the future? Low levels begginign in the shout channel for Powerleveling parties?
I’m sure there are far better maps for getting the Slaughterer title that won’t affect low level player’s grinding, low level maps that aren’t used for grinding and have high spawn rate( Infrorocktors for example).
To discuss Powerleveling, interestingly enough we have 0 Topics that talk about this issue even though it seems to be a very common practice.
There is when it can be used to empower RMT and force other players out of those maps/grind, maps which otherwise they wouldn’t be forced out if you partied with them with your low level character instead of powerleveling it.
It affected me and my other party member, so it does affect people.
Basically the “If you don’t like it, Don’t watch it” argument used to shut up people who whave a different opinion to them regarding a specific show/practice, it shuts off any kind of discussion that can be made regarding the topic.
Yes! Let’s censor people who want to have a reasonable discussion regarding a topic because we don’t like his opinion regarding the same topic. /s
I do not understand this analogy at all, i’m going to guess you didn’t read my whole topic so you’re just confused and not really sure what’s going on.
Wat? Can anyone make sense out of this sentence? I have more than 400 hours of gameplay, i have 200+ characters.
@castillnu Well… ok? That’s not the point of this thread, instead of blessing us with your leveling guide maybe you could give your opinions regarding Powerleveling? That’d be a lot more usefull.
Powerleveling is discouraged in most MMOs because most MMOs are themepark quest chains by design which inherently makes it impossible to powerlevel because you only level by doing quest chains, and most MMOs are designed around you having one character and pretty much rushing to endgame, and the quests are designed so that any character can easily complete them all.
ToS’s design is a classic Korean grinder with quests thrown in that just get in the way and ruin the exp curve and nobody likes them. It has a lot of pure utility builds that are really difficult to level up solo, and expecting people to always have a party to carry them from level 1 to level 200 just to play the game is unreasonable. Furthermore the game is designed around the idea of having multiple characters for different things (as in, different types of content, not different roles in a party - obviously other MMOs do that) rather than a single character that can do everything.
Again, powerleveling was impossible before, they made it possible by popular demand. It’s a design decision, and you’re clearly in the minority in your dislike of it - not only that, it doesn’t really effect your gameplay negatively in any way. Surely, you can understand why people think this is a silly thing to complain about?
You dont understand the game yet, and thats ok if you dont make big posts as you are the god of mmo’s. The point is: t
That powerlevel dont work for lv1 to 70 - Its too slow and u will waste way more time doing that than the common quest path.
So if im right uwill ask why people do that? Becuz they are lazy to replay all quests again. Sour post is pointless. I can say that cuz I lvled an alt ther from 1 to 90, and it took 4x the time. But itsok cuz i was semi afk.
Also if beginners do that they are dumb, cuz they need the silver, items, Card, gems of normal paththat i didnt needed!
Are you for real? Go play another game.

Yeah I think you asked for all of this hate…WIth how much leveling there is, and no reset system for classes, even I would want a powerleveling buddy but do not have one. I guess unlike you, people do not want to do all that leveling and same questing shiz again. If you want to, go for it, but this post seriously sounds like you are just crying because you did not have someone to powerlevel you. I would pay to bet that if you were in the darn party, you would not have even posted this. So just stop. lol
I respect your decision to level how you want, but when you have two viable roads to walk down, you can’t really complain when only one of them is closed. By 100% completing most of your maps around that level (Minus the Lv 1 & 2 EXP Card maps) and doing Klai + Orsha Quests, it’s not necessary to grind before the Demon Prison stage. Yes you may want to grind there anyway, but by not doing it, it’s in no way hindering you from leveling just as fast, if not faster, through Questing.
Lv4 EXP cards start getting handed out in the late 60’s, which shouldn’t be skipped unless the Quest that gives them out is one of those Green repeatable types that take longer than a normal quest to complete and only rewards 1 Card. These are the ones that they’ll still need to (Or still should) do.
Meh, the OP will play a different tune after his 3rd or 4th char…
Eh, pretty sure in Beta the Exp Penalty was applied before being split.
They most likely changed it due to party matckmaking where some high level person can queue into level 50 dungeon to mess people’s runs up.
This is my 4th character.
Uhh… no. I really don’t care avout the people doing it, when i recorded the video i legitimarely thought you could not powerlevel other players(i guess i missed the patch notes when they changed that) and that field quest was either bugged or they were bugging it somehow.
You can’t really blame me for not knowing that, there are VERY few Powerleveling threads in this forum and they’re all outdated at this point.
Nevertheless i still hold my opinion on Powerleveling in MMOs, i can see that very few people agree with me while others just don’t really care, they like the convenience and i can’t blame them for it, ToS quest line in it’s current stage is very boring, specially for early levels.
Jesus I wish there was a fast way to level up in this game. Already sick of levelling new alts and I’ve never once hit 200 on a character yet. Leveled 5 characters up to 140 and then stopped cause I hated them.
I remember back in RO you could get pleveled and there was like no exp penalty on killing high level mobs as a low level. What the heck were they thinking when they put that level-gap stuff in this game?
Honestly if there was a pay to get a level 280 character in this game I’d pay it right now
lol thats not even fair xD, litterally 95% of all necromancers are stingy and mean and dont invite anyone to their dina bee farm group
You don’t even need to 100% maps for level 3 exp cards, hell you can skip most of the optional quests before Royal Mausoleum. You’ll get more than enough exp just doing both questlines.
It was in the launch version of the game, the level difference in parties penalty only existed in beta.
You only get a 20% exp penalty for killing high level mobs in ToS. If you can get in a guild willing to powerlevel you, you could go leech exp in Alemeth or something.
I’m not usually 100% afk, and I will invite anyone who says something to me. Often throw up public parties so people can apply. But in most cases, you’ll gain faster exp through quest and such. I tend to qausi AFK with my friend or GF in pt while I’m doing work. If I see someone wants to join I’ll send em a message.
It’s good for AFKing, but not so much for anything else. Less you want to sit there bored. My necro is only 228, so not so good at Dina Bee as my Skele’s still die to quickly.
Yeah, get a mage, lvl up fire bolt stay in geos until job 50… go to wiz/sage and go to goats for eternity with storm gust/ice bolt, Wow absolutely not boring as hell, and that’s why even RO have that exp penalty, ppl doesn’t know all areas because of that
And is exactly the same here, with all my characters I had never need to grind, because looking for all quests just gives you enough exp to advance an absolutely all maps (until ~225), which is actually the point of this game in this moment
I have to ask, why u (or anyone) will wish a 280 character when there are not end game content? To make more post about there are not end game content because you didn’t enjoyed the path to max lvl? Please
Even with the last patch the game went dumb friendly showing all quests u can get (which I think it stupid, find quests I’d part of the fun, but well ppl is dumb)
If power lvl is for ppl who’s bored of the game, they simply shouldn’t be playing the game (and no blaming anyone, if something doesn’t like you, is not game’s fault), because at this point, the only the game offers is the high enriched path to max lvl…
If u use the excuse “I have no time to play” well… Me neither, I have a job and anyways I’m working on 6 characters and I’m figuring out how I want to build a 7th one, no one has ever grinded…
Ofc, if you (or anyone) is power lvling is OK, but you are losing the game experience they wanted to get IMAO
I have trained 4 characters up and i must the worse period is between level 20 to 50.
Because after that u can just let dungeon carry u from 50 to 80 before u spam your exp card to 90 to change your dungeon and so on…
That is if you arent in a rush to high lvl…
So it isnt so bad.
