Basically the title explains everything.
Stones picked by “Stone Picking” skill of Quarrel Shooter can be used to enhance gems, which may lead to abusing it. Especially at higher levels.

Can’t gems be enhanced by anything anyways or is it just equipment and other gems? If so, a shovel and Alchemist Dig would work the same way wouldn’t it?
It’s anything except consumables and, in a recent kCBT3 patch, items bought from merchant NPCs.
I’m sure they’ll fix this exploit soon enough.

Wait people bought items from the merchant NPCs besides anvils and potions?
You could buy wood from the npc and feed it to your gems to max them

Just farming any mobs for their trash loot is good exp for gems, each misc item gives +5 exp while equipment only gave around +30 and is worth much more to sell to npcs/marketplace.

5 pretty sure… just 1 stone per level.

You don’t need to be an alch to enhance gems. But you need to be an alch to lower the stat decrease gems give. There’s a difference.

There were many things like this that were recently patched, like fletcher arrows, dievdirbys wood, etc etc.
