[Post-Revamped] MONK3 - Stat & Skill distribution?

What are your thoughts on Monk3 now that we are finally here… Please share your experience so we can build the best Monk3.

Thoughts on skills

  1. Golden Bell Shield… WTF IS THIS SH!T?!
  2. Iron Skin - nope…
  3. Double punch + Dex = YES!
  4. Kamehameha (EB) still weak…
  5. God Finger Flick… Wow! The scaling is good and the silver cost doesn’t scale! I might consider lowering/dropping EB and get this to 10 instead.
  6. One inch, knife and palm. All good, scales with attack speed dex and has low SP cost.

Thoughts on stats
Now I am going to need some advise here on the choices available.

  1. Full dex, full leather armor
  2. Cap str at 50/100/150, rest into dex (leather or plate armor is viable)
  3. Is CON even need for us? Hmmm

Until now:

  1. Golden Bell Shield: for pvp only to elimite inquisitors pears
  2. Iron skin… still no use
  3. Double punch: low ping needed, DEX not so much with 100 you can apreciate the difference, more = amazing
  4. EB: I love the animation, I hate the damage. You can do more damage with DP and some DEX
    5)God Flinger Flick: nice damage even at lvl 1, plus debuff = really nice skill
  5. All are really good skills, I would max OIP and at least one point on HK and Palm for the debuff, still good option.

STATS

Around 100 DEX you can already apreciate DP speed change, STR around 200-250 I don`t see a reall change on damage, probably a better weapon needed. CON is always good, speacially for a melee class like Monk but around 50 you already notice HP increase ( before patch 100 CON = around 20k HP, before patch 50 CON around 30k HP)

So far for the first day I tried putting 50str, 0con and all in dex… Might need to test more tomorrow. The difference is huge from 0dex -> 150dex… after that the attack speed increment seems to be diminishing… Im not sure if there is a hard/soft cap somewhere… More info from IMC would have been nice.

What about weapon choice? What do you use?

How do you keep up with the stamina consumption?

Unfortunatly being DP speed atached to PIN it s imposible with 300-400 (yesterday was awaful)

My stamina is around 59 and with stamina pills and arcane energy scrolls I manage to keep up (100-120 DEX)


Any opinion in this (mainly) Monks builds:

My first build pre and post patch, owl DPS was nerfed and would be mainly for -20 cooldown, Silence and Teleport statues ( I really miss the last one).

I´m trying this one now. Heal lvl 15+ Rest = full HP for any class. Turn Undead is good with mobs and smite for the knockdown. Resist elemente is always good.

Revive is excelent, Monstrance for DEX, resurrection always good (but you can have crystals with you) and maybe Stone skin for some block ? ( didn´t try after patch yet). Bless and Aspersion for when the shop buff ends.

In every build Cleric 2 is mandatory, except with Priest 3, but I must say I love Cleric3/ Pala sinergy. You can replace Inqui with PD but I d rather to focus on DPS more than support/ CC immunity.

Stats always DEX/STR ( still testing proportion ) and some CON (50-100)
