Possible to FIX mouse controls?

So i leveled a barbarian to 102 and used just keyboard and didn’t have really any issue with playing.

I decided to change to maining a mage which is highly unusual for me and im now 101 on the mage and these are what i’ve found so far for the control systems when playing a mage…

Keyboard only: Out of the question simple doesn’t work unless i only want to cast skills right in front of me which is definately not ideal as a mage.

Controller: Feels good overall except its horribly annoying and slow to operate the UI with the controller (for instance moving the cursor to a quest completetion tab to click accept. to get the reward.) and when trying to cast skills at a distance getting swift accurate placement just isn’t very easy. Seems it would take alot of practice and still not sure how well it would work.

Keyboard+Mouse: Overall feels the best in combat able to quickly and accurately place my skills/spells where i want them. However quest/npc interaction is absolutely horrendous and quite alot of the time impossible. Often times have to open the UI go to settings and select keyboard just so i can use space to interact with quest objective or an npc becuase the mouse refuses to do so.

Now that brings me to my question. Because so far i feel the keyboard/mouse is the best for combat and the only issues seems to be with mouse interaction with quest objectives and npcs. Is there anyway i can change the “interaction” key away from left click so that left click is ONLY attack? As it is being attack and interaction is simple unintellegent and just doesn’t work.

I should point out i’ve also been looking online and all the things i found seem to say it wasn’t possible but those where from last year and well it’s almost an entire year later has there been any changes?

I enjoy this game but it feels very much like 1 of those crappy console ports where none of the controls really work right. Which is terrible because it’s not even a console port…
