[Possible] Solution for error "damaged ipf files, the game will now shutdown" after maintence 11/11

I wanted to share a method that worked for me with the error “damages ipf files” after the maintence of 11/11.

  • First close steam program
  • go to steam/steamapps/commom/treeofsavior
  • Search for ALL ipf files that have a size near 1000kb
  • Create a folder in desktop and place them there
  • Open steam program in admin mode
  • right click in tree of savior, and do the archive verification thing
  • after the download finish delete the desktop folder you created whit all the old ipf files

After this the game should work, well it worked for me, reply if it worked for you.

it is a temporary solution. Game launches even without these whistleblowers at some lower than 100% rate. Rechecking you files every time you get the error is no solution.
What i found to work (100% of time) is if you try to close the game right after you “Enter” the server wait for 5 sec than cancel exit confirmation window. This can be done in either windowed mode (you press that “x” to close window) but for fullscreen you will have to use 3rd party scripts.

I used to do this too, to solve the previous error “broken ipf files”, but after the maintence it didnt work for me.
