I’m thinking of going pala3>miko, what do you guys think? btw @azebu95 i already tried clrci2>diev and i don’t like it aswell, so with diev and priest out of the question i don’t have much choices
Can you pls elaborate more on this? How so?
Last time i checked, the popular ones include Barrier & Daino scrolls. Do you mean selling scrolls are bad business in general?
If the mutant/demon multiplier bonus applies to all the 3 lines damage of Smite, then it would be great… But at the current state, yes i agree that’s not the case
Priest is better then diev 1, monstrance is a MUST HAVE buff in this meta plus resurrection is basically the only one utility spell not avaible for craft (plus totem, ofc :p)
Actually I have 2 paladin builds:
C2 P1 Pally 3 PD 1 Inqui 1 (that I strongly suggest if u want to play it as a main char, or at least a pve playable char)
C2 k1 pally 3 pardoner 1 for crafting, sooner to be oracle 1 for all those sweet scrolls + oracle utility for my Druid 2 ^^ (scrolling is a BAD business, but been able to craft all u need rather then pay AH is much much better for both yourself and the guild IMO).
Just my 2 cents
Well making and selling scrolls in general is just annoying. There’s a lot of issues to it…

You need to invest silver to buy parchements and make scrolls… That wouldn’t be a problem if you earned back silvers from selling scrolls instantly, but that’s not the case. You take 2 days to retrieve silvers from storage, and those 2 days are 2 days you cannot re-use those silvers to buy and make more scrolls.

The profit is really marginal. We are talking about only 100~200 silver profit per scroll, usually. You need to sell in big bulks and Barrier scrolls are not used that often. People will only buy it to use in very specific situations and the sales aren’t that great when you compare to Blessing / Sacra buffs being sold by Pardoners in town.

Market makes it too easy for costumers to always find the cheapest price for a type of scroll. If someone else puts a cheaper price of scrolls in a big bulk, it’s very likely your bulk of scrolls expire before being sold. With a buff seller pardoner / squire, you can always choose to change channels, sell outside a dungeon or a grinding map to stay away from competition. People also don’t really bother looking for the cheapest price to buy a Blessing or Sacra, they will just go for anything that’s cheap enough within their parameters.

Takes a lot of time to make the scrolls. You can leave your character afk making scrolls, but you could also leave an afk necro farming for silvers over the night without all the trouble of being in the scrolling business (afaik IMC hasn’t acknowledged that as illegal yet).

Overall, crafting classes such as pardoner gain really bad profit by selling scrolls / buffs. The biggest advantage to it is that you can get profit by being “mostly inactive”. You can login once a day, make your scrolls, put up for sale, then log off and do something else for the rest of the day. You can find much better ways to earn money if you are a reasonably active player (solo’ing 145 dg, for example). Therefore, if you are active enough, it’s much better to get a class circle of something that’ll help you hunt stuff faster than picking any crafter class and trying to earn money actively selling scrolls / buffs / whatever.
What do you mean by that? Conviction just seems to multiply the damage of Smite and Smite already gets its damage multiplied against mutant/demon monsters. So you can say the mutant / demon multiplier already works with Conviction.
Yes, thanks for taking the time to explain in details about the issue regarding scroll crafting business.
As for the other thing, I meant that the Smite mutant/demon multiplier will apply to ALL the additional lines by Conviction debuff + Smite combo.
Edit :
So for example, I hit golem with smite 6400-6500. Conviction debuff will make smite damage 3x. I kinda hoped those 3 damages are from this 6400-6500 original damage… But in practice I get 2500-3900 + 2500-3900 + 2500-3900 instead of (6400-6500)x3
I have this other build in mind of Anti Paladin. Not the best class choices, but I like the concept.
Ill go Option 2, with Leather Armor. Maybe ZOmbies and Inquisitor wont work well, not sure, but I like the build for a selfish paladin, invulnerability and free wind runner.
