Possible Fix to FPS Problems

For a long time I’ve been looking for the cause of why my FPS did not rise to more than 30 since I have a medium range pc and it seemed strange that the game did not run to the maximum.

Today I have finally found the cause of this and I hope it can serve someone else. My game go from 30 fps/40ms in a empty city to 115 fps/10ms.

The solution: You only need to “Turn Off” the Windows Feature called “Hyper-V”

Use this guide if you dont know who to do it: https://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/6632-windows-features-turn-off-windows-8-a.html

I have no idea why this fixed my problem, but I accidentally found the solution while trying to activate / deactivate virtualization to use an android emulator.

My processor is an AMD Phenom x4 960t and my video card is a NVIDIA 1050.

I hope it works for somebody, good luck.

That doesnt make much sense to me. Hyper-V is for virtualization and shouldnt affect TOS at all.

I understand that it worked for you, but it probably isnt the overall solution.

The game is set to not allow virtualization environment to avoid multi-boxing.

Hint: doesn’t work :grinning:

As many other “Features” lol.

Worked for anyone else? I’m inclined to try this

well it doesn’t work for me, cause I didn’t see anything like Hyper-V on the list.

Yeah, there is not anything like this for me, but I just remembered I saw something like that at the BIOS, gonna go there and disable it, brb.

Actually I was mistaken, there was not like that there actually. I also tried disabling it by powershell but it did not find it too.

Took away my original comment.

New Comment:
Interesting but what does “Hyper-V” have to do with this? I am confused.
Old AMD processors aren’t good for gaming or in general. I was using a
FX-8120 4.1GHZ and that did nothing but bottleneck my GPU and I ended up upgrading my whole Intel set-up that cost 1.3k.

But Ryzen seems promising after they work out the bugs and glitchs it has.

Fun fact: TOS blocked virtualization with vmProtect 3 (commercial solution that have solution to block virtualization).

Sad fact: The vmProtect packer doesn’t show up anymore on packers list. Seems IMC stopped using it.
