[Positive Feedback] Instanced Dungeons are a LOT of fun!

I just had to post this here sinnce feedback can go both ways - I’m currently very satisfied and very entertained with the state of dungeons.

They give a lot of exp, the enemies are quite powerful and make teamwork actually feel meaningful. I also feel like you can make friends quite easily for dungeon runs and you just have a good time with it.

Considering most fights in the game either consist of fighting weak mobs (grinding) or a few stronger mobs sometime (bosses/elite mobs), the fact we find pretty much a mixture of both in instanced dungeons - Big, Challenging, Tanky-but-Killable monsters in dungeons is certainly a refreshing change of pace!

If anything, I would suggest that over time there are more dungeons added to make the gap between them not feel so far apart, and overall just to add in more dungeons. As I said, they are a lot of fun.

The first dungeon starts at level 50, then we have another one at level 90. If there was for example, one on level 70, I think it would be a very welcome addition to players - especially since level 70 is usually the beginning of the time some players have trouble leveling up (exp curve of that lvl range being almost on its’ apex, not having many places to grind, not many quests available) so a dungeon at that range would certainly be great.

I completely agree. I actually like that they have a limit so they can reward such massive amounts of xp, and give great loot at the end. Also this keeps players in the open world more, which prevents this game from being “instances only” which is the case for many MMOs out there and I’m glad it won’t be for ToS.

I also like the simple style. So far I’ve only run the lvl 50 dungeon but the basic run in a circle killing enemy spawns as a group is really fun.

The most recent MMO i’ve played is guild wars 2 and they tried to make their dungeons complex, with fancy events and complicated strategies that sometimes divorce you from your chosen character and build… and I hate it.

I love having mandatory healers (and hopefully at some point tanks). I love having simple maps. I love having simple objectives. Kill all enemies then kill boss. Done. It’s fantastic and a throwback to older MMO dungeons which I really liked as well.

Good job IMC!
