Population Check

Greetings everyone! So lately I’ve been in a kind of RPG crisis, because lets be real, theres nothing really lasting comming out nowadays. However, I remembered ToS and thought to myself that I should come back. So, I’ve only got one thing that interests me right now. How is the population of the game? Some games that get featured in Steam, are played played by 15-20% of the whole games playerbase. So my question here would be, regarding the numbers that I see ATM, we peaked at around 9k players during the past 24 hours, and are at 6,6k right now, is that the whole playerbase or just a portiong of it? Or, I might be wrong overall, and you can only play through Steam. Whats the average number we peek during the day too? WWhat abotu the weekends, is it more?

Also, is it excpected for the population to rise or decline in the future? I mean, all the upcoming updates and tier 8 classes specifically?

I hope this wasnt a mess of a question, and you guys understood what I was asking.

Thanks in advance, cya in-game!

Really depends on you. Honestly as much as people cry the game is dead, I find it in a “almost” perfect spot. I’d say the population rest between 7-9k. Servers like Orsha are really hurting, but honestly on Klai I haven’t felt any difference besides not having to change channels every 5 mobs due to other people killing them.

I think most of here hope it will rise, but my expectations are that it will rise and fall as this game is in a total niche market. If IMC get their game together, I imagine it will rise much more. It’s a Gem, but has several flaws that push people away. Some like me, are stubborn and love the game for what it is, not what my pre-conceived notion of what it should be.

Anyways, hope you get your answer, but honestly. Just play the game. It’s not going anywhere anytime soon.

Fedimian is really perfect - not too many but not empty either. I can easly find dungeon/mecenary post but i don’t need to rely on luck to find free channel for myself.

I have a different view on Klai and if you start, would push you to play on Fedimian from what I’ve seen of both server’s populations. Those numbers don’t accurately represent the player base as unfortunately a good third of it likely bots. Klaipedia is the more populated of the servers between that and Orsha, but it’s still underpopulated. You can usually easily find “rush” groups for some later dungeons (i.e. groups that focus on rushing the boss for loot rather than exp) but you’re almost always hard pressed to find a full group to run a dungeon.

The sad thing is, middle of the day on Saturday when most people should be playing, most dungeons you’re lucky to even have 4 other people trying to queue to enter the dungeon and that’s what really puts the game into perspective for me. It’s a bit frustrating personally as I’m trying to level up my 4th character now and I’ve gotten 3 others anywhere from levels 132 to 240. It’s unfortunately gotten progressively worse with each new one in terms of leveling as you ask for people to come queue or ask if anyone else wants to do a full run of the dungeon when you’re the only one in queue. But as a leveling tool, they’re invaluable helping you get past a few levels you’d otherwise spend grinding, but that tool just isn’t that reliable on servers like mine. You either get lucky and find a party, spend time trying to organize one or sit in queue praying more people join up and then those people are willing to run the dungeon another time or two.

To me, it’s pretty indicative of where the game’s population is at if in the middle of the day on a weekend, not every dungeon has at least 5 people trying to run it (there are only 11 dungeons total not including the end game one). The game is really fun and has a lot of pros, I would absolutely try it and see how you like it, but you should know what you’re coming into. Definitely see if you can get more opinions from people in terms of server population.

The population is close to stable now.

Problem is that 8-9k max is across multiple servers and regions.

North America is down to less than 1k playing. Majority are in SEA and SA

Betweeen Klaipeda and Orsha together must have around 1k players total.
Then you have 1k BRs on suicide watch lag server.
Around 2 europoors and 5.99k gold bots/RMTs/Cheaters in the worst online community ever, the countries of SEA.

Is the problem with botters really that bad? I’ve been rushing from one game to another trying to find something I would stick to during these past years and probably most of the RPGs I played had a problem with either bots or hackers, some even got shut down because of this. Im not bragging or anything, but the few games I really enjoyed and feel kind of down that they are gone now, they didnt do ANYHTING regarding botting. Is that a known problem here, for the devs I mean. And are they doing something about it?

I think they do something, but not enough. They obviously don’t have GMs checking common botting maps or towns too often as the same gold seller advertisers sit in town for hours and hour at a time spamming and at any given time, you will always find bots on the common bot maps.

I would argue you should be concerned about a bit more than population, but I think we’ve been stabilizing here lately across most servers.

I say most because at this point,Orsha needs to be absorbed into Klaipeda.Otherwise I think the other servers have enough to keep going on their own.

The last 2 patches had quick spikes, mostly to check whether or not certain issues were fixed. So I think we’re starting to balance out again. At the end of September we’re supposedly getting rank 8,so expect another spike at least for more people checking on issues, and others to resume their max level characters.
