[Pool] What you do when you see an AFK player in Saalus Convent?

Everybody is so so worried about PvP, Bots and inflated buff shopp prices, but it appear no one cares about carry afk players or bot in Dungeons and specially Saalus Convent.

Especially in Saalus Convent, where I do with 2 different characters at least per day, it’s very common to see an afk player. Sometimes players go out at the beginning when it appears to be a Bot, since it allows you to go Auto-search again without losing your run, but happened just one time, what means its very rare to them (all the players) to care about it.

Today the 3 players, I told I was recording and just asked someone to confirm my denounce, and one of them just said: “fuc*** that”. I deleted the video because no one of them told something good (maybe one of them was the owner of the Bot/afk character, this way it easily explains why don’t care, but all of them not care?)

My server is Silute by the way, yes, latin people appear to not care about bad behavior at all, not even when they are used in it. I am one by the way.

But I just wanted to know about it.

concentrate on the question:

What you DO when you see an afk player in Saalus Convent.

  • I Don’t Care.
  • I care, but take too much time to denounce, so I don’t think about that
  • I care, but there is nothing to be done.
  • I care and already denounced

Just for note.

I am NOT pointing here people who need to be afk for a few seconds (for fone/answer the door
) and then come back, but about players who follow the group around doing nothing, and sometimes not even follow, when the monster is just close to the entrance where they start, then just run for the prize.

I know it is very difficult to deal with this type of problem. This is not about IMC, and it happens in every game that has dungeons (except the ones that have “kick vote” resource).
But it’s about how people comply with it, even when someone of the group wants to lose time and do the job of denouncing, and is even ignored or defined as someone spoiling theirs time.

I know most parts of them are just kids, but even kids should have Knew what is the right thing instead of defending the Bot/afk player side.

By the way: If players don’t even care about this, Kick Vote system solves nothing. Will be just a waste of time of developers and it’s possible to promote more bad behavior by people kicking other because of some bad build, or some bad act that certainly should be ignored.

if im a healer, i just try to lure the boss to them, let the boss aoe damage them and kill them. I will only use mass heal on the non-afk players.
Sure, it doesnt prevent them from respawning and stuff, but it breaks their equipment. If they dont equip stuff then it causes them to die even faster.

Note that Afk players are the least of your worries. Ive noticed that some varena players are just useless. Corsair only spamming his normal pistol attack. Musketeer not using his musket skills, ■■■■■■■ SR not using Laimacon at all. These are even more annoying in my opinion.

best solution is vote to kick. leecher wont lose run just his time. this needs to be implemented soon

only if there are like 4 trolls in pt. what are the chances.

Leave instance and party and find another one.

Saalus now doesn’t take your run if you don’t finish it. Just leave the party or join a pre-made.

i see notorious afk kunt / 2-3 alchemist , i leave instantly :prince:

On my server (Fedimian) no one joins via the Saalus Convent auto-queue, you usually join a party in shout/make one yourself/run with your guldies/friends, so it’s really rare to encounter an AFK player like this.

In the various Events dungeons we had, instead, I lost count… it can’t be helped I guess, griefers are griefers.

I suggest you to avoid the autoqueue, just solo your dailies.
If your characters aren’t strong enough, make a group or join one in shout, and offer to carry one run with your strongest char in exchange for them carrying your weakest, that’s how we always did in my guild, even pre-patch… easiest and painless way to do Saalus with your shopper/crafter characters.

i dont really care if i can clear it with the other 3 and doesnt take 10 mins to kill a boss. So doesnt matter much for me.

I just clear Saalus, take my cubes on click on Klaipeda scroll.
Saalus is not that much of a hassle to solo-clear, comparing to dungeons.

This doesn’t work, I consistley afk salus with my only no geared char and i often die and still get the cubes. You could bemad or whatever but when i run salus with my fletcher mergen, i don’t care at all if my party is there, i’ll do the job anyway, it’s a minimun effort so it’s like a implicit deal. You can afk with your useless alt and then me afk. Don’t care if u agree or not i see no problem

I never saw any person afk in Saalus; maybe this phenomenon doesn’t occur on Fedimian?

I thought it was valid only if the whole party get off at the beginning. I will test for sure, thanks.
