Having enough issues with rubber bands making me waste skills as of right now, or getting animation-end locked with no damage.
First fix the game’s connection, then we can start talking about speeding up things.
Just allow swordsman attack while walking.
Animation locked could be reduced with the animation getting cut in half.
Reduce casting time and animation won’t fix the real problem of swordsman. Delay can be fixed by jumping (skill cancel) even if impractical
Increase hit range box will help in margin of errors. Swordsman cant afford to miss bec atking is only contibution beside taunting. The hit range box seems to link with skill effect which explain why it is small.
Fixing fps problem and server stability helps alot too. Swordsman need high concentration of controlling as no tank exist and afew sec delay can kill swordsman.
Cleric face the same problem but swordsman face the most impact. Chaplain have powerful AA. Paladin have short cd skill
I like the idea of buffing swordies via animation instead of increasing numbers. It totally makes sense.
i don’t mind the animations. they’re already a lot faster than originally. just wish the damage would hit at the begging, so even if things move you still get them.
Animation buff will help but will not solve.
If animation cast time reduction is not possible, please make most of the skills have greater area of effects, its frustrating that you aimed but you still missed because your target doesn’t stop moving

I wouldn’t say blanket reduce everything by half. Some animations are alright how they are. Some need to be reduced by MORE than half (fucking Pierce, Stomping Kick, Embowel, useless skills that lock you for a goddamn eternity). Also, some of the skills are just animated in an annoying way, like Pistol Shot - there’s this stupid delay before the last shot that basically doubles the animation lock compared to all of the previous shots.

If iam not mistaken, there is a spreedsheet with skills cast time, making it easier for one of the fixes to go through.
I saw some gameplay with low ping and the animations works like it should be but for everyone else that has a bad connection or whatever due to the netcode, it sucks.
A bit impractical and with some skills the damage is not applied.
other NA games i get 150-185 ms, iTOS i get steady 300 ms =/ and we are still waiting Silute go back to SA

even with 300 ms its still playable (PVE), but i had to install laetrix or my ping would go to 400-500+ and thats unplayable
Unless u are playing Monk or QS3 its fine to go with 150-300ms, but thats the limit, more is unplayable
but its true that i get 150-185 ms in games like Tera or WoW
buuuuuut u can use vpn to get lower ping and that works very well
Fixing the skill animation delay n lock and increasing hitbox will definitely allow us Swordies to skill chain more smoothly.
This will improve our overall experience in terms of combat.
However, the damage that we r currently delivering is still pretty low-ish IMO.
Swordie does Medium - high burst dmg n not sustainable due to long CD. SP consumption is high too.
Vs
Archers/Wiz that has medium to high sustainable dmg. Deployable skills that allow Wiz to move and use other skills to further up their dmg.
QS Running shot itself already does more dmg than a Swordie’s full rotation with lower CD too. Along with Retreat shot n the future Forward shot. The dmg gap is just over the roof. Very high sustainability with almost no drawbacks.
With that said, looking at the recent buff for hop3 Spear throw n Shinobi bunshin skill viability. They may be at the Right direction but still require more time to polish Swordie tree one by one.
