[POLL] Will the party cutscene bug be fixed after 16 Aug 2016 patch?

From the 16 Aug 2016 patch notes:

  • Fixed the problem of party members being unable to move when quitting the quest right after the cutscene.

The wording sure is strange here. But…could this mean the infamous party cutscene bug will finally be fixed after this patch?

We’ll all know the results after the patch for sure. But for now, let’s have a vote!

EDIT: The bug status is now Fixed as of 16 Aug 2016…

  • Yes

problem with patch notes in iToS is that they most probably just google-translated whatever list their korean counterparts send them then post it in the website. Afterwards, they just resume their vacation for the rest of the week

The wording,as usual, makes it quite unclear.

It’d be great if this was the fix for it,but people would likely have been less mad about it if they just acknowledged the issue more formally.

Agreed, half of the “changes” listed in the patch notes already exist in the itos version. The only explanation I have left at this point is something catastrophic happened at IMC headquarters, be it a gas leak, T-Virus outbreak, idk but the only survivor was Greg from the mail room and hes currently running the entire operation now.

They worded it like that because they’re not sure themselves if they fixed the bug.

They tried to fix it, but we’ll only know if it’s really fixed or not when it goes live. We’re their guinea pigs.

I’ll believe it when I see it.

It might mean that ‘‘by the end of the cut scene’’ but I’d rather they fix the ‘‘dungeon capacity’’ bug

Hmm… most of them say no. Seem no faith in IMC.

To IMC, its not a bug, its a feature!

Let’s hope so. If not we have this new feature to look forward to:

  • You will now be unable to log out, move channels or access the
character selection screen during a combat situation. After you try to
use any of those functions, your character will need to avoid combat for
10 seconds before being allowed access to them.

If you were stuck, doing one of the above was the only way to become unstuck. If they define “combat situation” as being in an active cut scene, or if you haven’t switched/logged out fast enough before a monster engages you then you’re screwed.

I believe ‘combat situation’ is when your character has his weapons drawn.

You can still be in a cutscene but not be in combat.

Probably…

BUT 70% chance there will be even more bugs popping out.

Pretty sure there’s going to be another temporary maintenance shortly after the patch, just like the previous merge.

Still, let’s hope for the best that this particular issue is fixed.

This… as usually whenever there is a cutscene there is either a boss fight or 20 so monsters spawn around you…

5 talts + my wind runner it’s going to be fixed anyone wanna bet?

surprises my how long they are taking to resolve this problem…

lets see tomorrow if it is true

Yep they will fix it and adding new bugs as well :sparkles:

Poll is now closed as we wait for the maintenance to complete. Thank you for your participation.

Bug status: To be known after patch (will edit once known)

To be honest, I don’t think they will fix it for a simple reason: the wording of that sentence in the patch notes doesn’t seem to refer to the global “quest cutscene bug”, but to a certain quest in particular.
