I’ve decided to buy a TP pet for my Hakapell. Just wasn’t sure atm which one I should get. Which one did you guys choose?
Just fyi Penguin have better raw stats than battle bird.
(HP, evasion)
A additional 30 mdef+ pdef as well.
Good points of battle bird is you will need less SP pot through out your grind etc.
TL;DR
Penguin for p2w stats. Battlebird for cost saving (more cater to newbies)

I’ll go for battle bird here @Nicola (planning to buy either too 1 char 2 pets = team level 23 at the moment with my new account). A new pet with my reroll will surely boost my team level lol.
On to the topic:
Penguin = def (I have a peng already)
Battle bird = 90+recover (you can recover your sp/hp while roaming around lol)
(My new char is a scout 3 lol)
Feel confused about which pet to choose? Here is the solution: Buy them all 
Actually I prefer penguin because of its def stat.

The raw stats do matter though. Especially with hakka close in “playstyle”
My penguin with the same amount of HP upgrades vs battle bird
peguin gives 4k hp while battlebird only gives 2.8kish~.
Base hp,evasion of battle bird is too low @_@…

Yea i discovered that after playing with my SR. The additional HP, defense and evasion it gives is wow.
Especially after level 200. 0 con SR with 0 HP gear i am able to hit 12k hp with just the bird + peta @_@… a little ghey ;V (based hp 6.9k)
Plus the “squeak squeak” while you jump!
Pvp/Gvg = Penguin
Pve = Battlebird
I would go with penguin. SP recovery can be solved by potions. Penguin is pretty much pay 2 win…
You guys forget the main reason why we play ToS. Battle bird is cuter
in terms of sound preference. Do you like the boing boing or do you like the squeaky squeak 
Does companion level add to team level? What if I delete my companion for slot, will my team level decrease?

Pengu for mounted classes and general PVP use (duels, TBL, GvG).
Battlebird for PVE especially when frequently using SP-hungry skills. It looks better than penguin IMO though.
Still for me, it’s Functionality before Aesthetics so Pengu it is.
