Donā€™t get me started on FFXI JP ONRY EDITION. I was in the same boat as you. The reason that failed was because, and I donā€™t care if people call me racist, the JP players.

JP players are traditionally exclusion-oriented, as is their society. They will shun anyone who is not JP. International games are quite different.

In iRO, the ā€˜upper classā€™ wanted more people to play the game, so we helped noobies. Every priest was slaving the poor acoā€™s in GH, and we developed a community based on inclusion, even though we played the game more and got higher level.

Sure we are talking about a 3 month gap here. But I trust in the community to actually give a damn, partly because there is no War of Emperium to distract the high levels at the moment.

Iā€™m going to get the $50 since I actually have a job now and can afford it. RIP everyone who couldnā€™t afford it, I really feel for you (Iā€™m serious I would be pissed too). Anyhow, Iā€™m hoping a lot of founders will be on the server because it will be boring to play with a low player base.

Looks like thereā€™s a fair amount of players planning to buy the pack too. Thatā€™s nice, my main concern is if the founderā€™s server is going to go dead after the actual release.

I have a long paid vacation coming this 24th of March and as someone with a job, a paid vacation is something like a unicorn.

The only question in my mind is how much does TP cost? If 600TP costs $50 then it would make this Foundersā€™ server business nothing but an early buy-in. If not, then the amount less the worth of 600TP would be the price of early access.

The hate on the $50 deal is blown out of proportion.

To be fair, if I went back to being a penniless schoolkid living on my parentsā€™ money, my thoughts on the matter would be different.

I have a group of 80+ ex-RO friends, but I think <10 will really pay for the headstart. The question is after 3 months, will them join me in a dying server or insist of squeezing in a fresh flooded server.

This make me so undecided.

If there is something server transfer, will peoples turn away because level race?
