[Poll] For those who are still playing iToS

I mean, if you look at it like that, then yeah.

Usually moderation is put TO cut out flaming and needless drama in an area, as well as to take charge and actually answer questions. And since the bulk of you Hueknights usually result to said flaming and needless drama, then no doubt it’d affect you lot. Gotta learn to stretch your powers if that were the case, and constructively shitpost.

But it’s not, so meh. I digress because I don’t really see it happening unless IMC somehow grows, lol.

beside the overwhelmingly amount of bugs, I still like the game …probably would stick with it until it died

We need real moderators (Perma/Temp bans, delete threads) on ToS forums, like the ones on WarpPortal( iRO). In order to get a stable community, we need to wipe the toxicity on forums.
Having people who’s not playing the game, making useless threads like this one, or spreading more toxic comments about ToS, need to leave once and for all.

Oh yeah just like warpportal, the server filled with 50% bots and 3 years behind the Korean server. Will ITOS end up like iRO?

from what I see currently …we only behind ktos in like a month or 2. Probably not as worse …while bots hell, probably not too (except for the hackers part where they never get banned >.> )

Been playing MMO’s since 2001, still haven’t known one without/free of bots. Nowadays, you have to deal with FPS, RMT, bots, complainers, bugs/exploits, updates, class balance. Two of them you will never fix : Bots and RMT.
Notes aside, WarpPortal is a company from Gravity.co, they hold more games than just iRO, so make a little research before posting. Just like AeriaGames.

Edit: Ohh, forgot to add “P2W” MMO’s, which the community use to complain alot as well.

Short story long, you will never get everyone happy nor satisfied.

iRO is ultra p2w and very late in content, they are in a worse state than private servers. Do you think ITOS will end up having the same 3 year gap in content just like iRO? Discuss.

(At least warpportal has a GM to stream weekly. ITOS…lol)

Exactly, that’s one of the two reasons i stopped playing RO : RMT and P2W. I can stand cheaters and bugs/exploits, but i can’t stand people spending 20,000+ bucks to “be the best” in the PvP scene. ToS will be patched slowly probably cause they need to translate codes from Korean to English. Something similar RO2 had from 2013-2016. (Until WP took over development)

Definitely not 3 years, but a few months, to bring a stable update with less game breaking bugs…

Yeah a balance needs to be maintained. As long as people aren’t jumping into other threads to crap on them. It’s all good.

Those types are the cancer. If you’re too much of a douche to let the rest of the community interact with each other and have fun. You can go jump off a bridge for all I care.

I play because I enjoy it, as simple as that. :stuck_out_tongue: And as for the community… I’ve survived worse, lol!

The game cus i still have a lot of fun with it
and i think this kind of post is dumb =)

I am playing until rank 8 comes out. After that i will get dissapointed in Hackapel and quit

You mean this account? https://forum.treeofsavior.com/users/Uehhh/activity
I think that was a combination of things… The necroing and the gore posts. And trying to hide the necroing by mass deleting… Not sure what else got posted… Looks like mods wiped the most offensive content.

Kind of like having a melt down… Not so much a ‘‘ops’’… I posted offensive content… More like I’m going to do my best to disrupt the forums. Ring all the door bells and run.

As a good thread stated:

Blame IMC, not angry players.

With IMC doing so much ■■■■, you want to deny the forums any sort of retaliation?

You still don’t get it. You’ll see angry players on every game forum, complaining for different problems. Even if you quit and you move on to the next hyped MMO, there will be angry players and new problems you will see on forums. And that’s the cycle, people stay for different reasons on each game.
Dying community? Every game loses players, every game has its major and minor problems.
Who’s the community? All the people making guides, asking for builds, skills, theorycrafting, giving hints on hidden quests, achievements, collections, new items, helping each other in-game, answering questions on shout or forming parties for dungeons/saalus/grinding, reporting bugs, off-topic threads, conform the ToS community.
You guys build a reputation on forums and game, even if you move on to the next game. Do you want to be remembered by the guy who spread toxic comments everyday in-game or/and forum? Or maybe someone who helped out a few players. Perhaps nobody knows you, you’re not known in-game nor forums and you don’t care? You choose.

About retaliation, the company knows more than us, what’s going on on their game, even if you treat them as monkeys or w/e you want, they know. Every time a player quits, that’s a feedback regardless, so you don’t need to tell them directly that they are garbage developers, they pretty much know their flaws. If you really wanted some sort of retaliation, you could send a ticket with all the toxic insults and comments you feel like telling to them, but we don’t need all that crap on forums.

There are some mmo with literally 0 trade and no markets, so no RMT or few dumb ones.

There will always be people spending 500- 10 000 euros for various reasons and pvp, but a large audience has no interest into pvp.

For example, we have to compete in real life starting from kids to adulthood, compete in studies, sports, fame, status (big car, big house, gorgeous woman etc), moneymaking, “survive” in the streets, outrun armed people or rapist, shame and frame people to steal job … the list can be huge, and that’s why some people don’t want to “pvp” again in a video game because of bugs, lags, imbalance etc
In my case if I want do do pvp, it would be in a dancing contest, or inside a ring ( martial arts for exemple) to make the pvp “fair”.

My two cents.

I’m sure that everyone agrees that for a game to be successful, it needs to fulfil two things:

  • Good gameplay and constant updates
  • Thriving, close knitted community

Community actually weighs heavier here. A really good game with a dwindling community will eventually die out, a medicore game with a big supportive community will continue to thrive and prosper. Each and every game will come with its bugs and annoyances, but it is the community that makes it more tolerable. Take Skyrim for example, it comes shipped with numerous bugs on release. What makes it becomes the game of the year, attracting so many more players even with them knowing the shortcomings of the game? The community.

As you see, the players/community form the most important component in deciding whether the game will sink or swim. This is even more evident for games of the MMO genre, where the focus is on player to player interaction. Player feedback on media channels such as forums/message boards/social walls etc, will influence the impression of how the game will be like for potential new players. We live in an information era, where everything can be googled/searched for in a matter of seconds/minutes. Feedback from others will affect our decisions whether to try or trust a product.

So, what has all these got to do with ToS? Some questions for us to ponder upon:

  • We complained of long DG queues for low-mid level dungeons, mostly due to lack of new players and players who roll new characters. Ever wonder why there is a lack of new players besides the lack of marketing from IMC?

  • If you are a new player wanting to try out a game and you visit the forums/message boards to see how it is like. How will the ToS forums make you feel about the game? Will it make you more eager to try it out or more disheartened and start questioning before even installing?

  • All companies, including IMC places priority in places and regions that affects the most number of their consumers, apart from regions with publishers. What things can we do to make IMC view iToS as a priority too?

And so in the end, at a personal level, we have to ask ourselves: Do I really want ToS to succeed as a game? My comments on ToS in any media channel, how is it influencing the outlook of the game? There is a difference between constructive feedback and criticism.

IMC ought to resolve the various bugs and problems that is plaguing the game, and we as the player community, also need to do our part too to make this game a great game.

unbias fact : FPS, Metawhoring, weird queue system (stand infront npc cant do anything else), hefty level-gap-penalty…

blackknight will say : gitgud or get-rekt, Tree Of Masochist yo! ya’all got IMC’ed! Quit now or even better if you dont start TOS at all~ 5months here and none of this has been fixed !

whiteknight will say : there are flaws in everything, but a game is for u to have fun, so get some friend and enjoy the other aspect of the game. We’re positive things will get better, IMC does listen to the feedback. holding hands and sing Barney’s favourite song, We Are One Big Family

This is subjective. Fact is fact no matter how you put it into word.

And nice-wording is only sugar-coating the real issue.
Harsh-meanie words get to the point straight.
huehuehue just turn bugs/weaknesses into daily jokes…
example, when life give you lemon, you make lemonade.

More like, make iTOS your priority first, then international customer will pour in money.
What business dare to ask the customer to bear with its weaknesses?

I understand Nexon pay upfront for ktos/jtos to gain priority

But maybe the i in iTOS doesnt mean International, …
at this point, its more like Independent TOS…
service quality for iTOS depends on money people pouring in, versus, instant money from Nexon for ktos/jtos

I firmly believe , a quality product will ensure a quality feedback/positive-endorsement from its customer.

I believe its easier for IMC to upscale its own performance than to police the public.

Lastly, the only way you get 0 toxic behavior is running a communism cult and kill all individualism.

And not everyone is good in English. I can accept if a Jamaican player write “FK BLALBALBALBA”, but i cannot accept a whites come in and disregard his frustration/complications just because of poor writing.

btw, hi sis~ im back~

I think this is one reason we dont get updates as often. Since nexon is the publisher in ktos they need to update there first. Then we eventually get a big patch with it all. I was kind of expecting it to happen once a month and id be fine with that tbh. Its been more than a month since the last big patch though :frowning:

I did make a thread asking them to fix some exploits before releasing rank 8 though so maybe they listened and you can blame me for it. I dont mind. From what i heard they did break most of hook64 features in the last 2 patches though… Doubt a single thread made them decide to finally do this.
