[poll] Do we need more Class reset Vouchers?

  • Yes
  • No

I believe that a event that can give it again wont hurt.
Or a badass quest.
Or just sell it for TP, with the limitation of using it only once per character.

You see, a lot of people came back to the game. (and left after the ban wave kek)
But more people means more money.

p.s: we need rank 9 information.
p.s2: we need more instance channels.

Well of course… With so many changes (Hoplite Spearthrow, didn’t get it before the 3x damage change, badluck) that were made and so many classes that are just bugged (SADhu) and so many skill descriptions that are just plain wrong (2% SP per minute Werewolf anyone?), it is funny how it was deemed necessary to give a class reset, but only one, when people have more than one character.

I only came back because of the class reset.

Yeah, maybe next year, or after the R9 release.

Elsword gives skill resets to characters that reach level cap, I hope ToS can do the same.

Those who vote no should had quit the game during the previous voucher giveaway

I think we should get them and other things such as stat reset potions every once in a while. and we should get new potions such as dpk reduction potion which will no doubt piss a lot of people off in various ways.

I need one more for my cleric, please IMC!!!

Yes Troopers are winning.
Good.

Dragon Nest does this as well

Yes, especially when they gave me only 1 when I have 4 characters.

3 days of poll is enough. I’ll close it.
80% yes
20% no

Thanks all.

Class reset please give us more, even if you stop at rank 10, you release it every year?(good idea?)

Although I still maintain that having class resets via TP option is bad… but having characters gain access to the class reset scroll via timed events or a long quest line is actually not that bad for the game. Can’t seem to find my old post on this where I talked about it. And since IMC has solved the technical problems which I talked about previously (templar problems, attribute problems), having a non-transferable, one time reset shouldn’t affect that game that much.

Having a long, hidden questline that gives the reward of a class reset scroll gives the following benefits:

  • Each character have the chance to reset only once. Having a limited reset prevents potential of abuse.

  • More content is added into the game, the pre-requisite can be set at around R6. The quest can be a long storyline which let’s the player explore his/her “true self”. With this more lore is added into the game too.

  • Eliminates the problem of having only 1 reset scroll and multiple characters needing it.

As oppose to TP based resets which brings in:

  • Another item for sale in market, increasing chance of RMT trades

  • Ability to use multiple times since is TP item, making it compete with other TP item sales such as exp tome since players don’t need to relevel anymore.
    .
Example: For now if I want to reroll a character fast I would need to purchase around 9-10 x8 tomes (totalling 720tp) and roughly 6x DG reset scrolls (bought previously) just to get from lv1 - 280 (r1-r8) in 27hrs of gaming time.

  • Further divides the free players and the paying players.

Alternatively, the best solution will be to balance stats and classes so every class is good and viable at end game. It will be a very long time to get such balance though.

I support long chain quest based class reset that can only be completed once per character. Any more for same character, please reroll.

I think each character should get one reset voucher per new rank update. Not knowing the new ranks, while leveling you wonder if all this hard work leveling is for nothing after a new rank update. This is a HUGE anti-motivator for even the hardcore ToS players. IMC needs to smarten up and make class reset more available.

I have 12 characters all ranks 7~8 and even I sometimes feel discouraged at the fact that a new rank can mean more than half of my characters becoming useless. I mean I have 12 characters ffs but even I feel discouraged playing sometimes because new rank update could kill half of my characters. Imagine what it’s like for most players who go all in with 1~4 characters and a new rank screws like most or all of their characters. Yeah… IMC think about it. THINK.

But I gotta say I think IMC does somewhat listen to the player base. They actually stopped doing gacha and actually introduced Hanbok costumes via regular token shop like the old days. Now they just need to get competent programmers who can actually make the game client work properly. This game is like playing Russian Roulette. Every time you change maps or screens there’s like 10% chance you get a bug or the screen crashes and you need to start over.

While class balance is not stable yet, we definitely need this.
Each class need to be relevant in end content, although not in term of damage dealing but the supportive skills or synergy with upper class would still be good.

Another issue is the design of stat system, stat could be the backbone of each class but it is not being utilized.
It could play a major part in class balance, but they decided to pour all things on Transcend System. (which you need to repeat the harsh boring grind or spend same RMT when new rank 9 release, this is sux)
But I think they are reworking the damage calculation and mechanism, so it going to be a very meta changes and long progress, so stats system will redesign later to work around on that.

In order to achieve a fun character/class building system, they still have long way to go.
So the best short term solution is still rank reset.

I agree. For now they NEED to give rank reset voucher for EVERY CHARACTER whenever there’s a new rank update patch. When they finish the rank up date patches and no more new rank updates then they don’t have to give any reset vouchers because before you start a new character you know exactly what your options are. Right now building any character is a gamble and that’s not a good game model for rpg.

YES TO RESET!
BECAUSE IT’S TREE OF REROLL!

and because IMC doesn’t know how to make all classes viable…

Tree of Cleric anyone?
