PLS Remove DPK...its hard to hell

For crying put loud pls remove dpk, it’s hell and its really difficult, Imagine the hours you farm you just to get 1 as in 1 item… IMC should adjust that, its diff to get Practonium and then the recipe now this mats. You must do something about the droprate… really make it a percentage base rather than dpk. We also notice you dnt have event on such droprates? Pls pls remove dpk.

I think instead of removing DPK they should combine the DPK with a droprate sytem:
Give items with DPK a DPK-value aswell as a %-based droprate.
When a kill occurs :

  1. Roll drop-RNG for %-chance to drop item and go to 2)
  2. If drop-RNG is not successful, go to 3), else set DPK kill counter to 0, drop item and stop
  3. Increase DPK kill counter by 1 and go to 4)
  4. If DPK kill counter >= DPK required kills then drop item, set DPK kill counter to 0 and stop

That way there is always a chance that the item drops, but even if you’re absolutely unlucky and always have bad RNG luck it will drop eventually, when the DPK counter is high enough.

char-bind-dpk will encourage botting.

so not really that great.

current dpk is fine if spawn is atleast 500% higher.

Who said anything about char-bound DPK or proposed it in this topic?

That’s definitely the best option. Weekly resets wouldn’t matter as much, there would also be more drops which has been a big criticism as well.

the fact that imc does nothing against bots encourage botting

the way you answer makes it look like you are IMC, affecting real players because of “bots/rmt”, but it’s actually just their incompetence.

I think IMC is actively trying to improve their team, especially with a new community manager on the way.

I do hope so, because IMC really stopped getting money from me after the gachas, i used to buy costumes directly every now and then specially if they are nice

but I still buy from the market anyway which indirectly gives them money

what makes me mad about DPK really is the fact that they are hiding it, even their support team in tickets reply that drops are pure RNG when you can already prove it to them that dpk exists in minutes

i don’t really mind DPK , but farming the new oranges with 500 dpk. The spawns aren’t that great… as well which is an issue.

If for say the spawns, spawn in wave of orange cancer clover. That is another case.

I have seen tons of thief around due to that recently as well
(and i refuse to farm them either way gonna wait till i get my oracle + thau + doppel party squad ready)

and you know, there might be some hack that lets you identify the current kill count being done on a channel.

DPK shouldn’t really be a problem if you mix it with RNG

again now look at the market, blue faragas gems +1 Sacrament aren’t being sold anymore because bots have stopped botting there and people go by only to do quests

^oh and this happens because of channel crashes and maints too

this is another innate problem of dpk where items cannot be dropped unless kill count is achieved.

DPK = someone stealing your salary from your hard work
RNG = work harder, luck isn’t there yet, or pray to RNGesus

I’d rather have RNG rather than knowing that someone already stole my piece of work.

with the recent trend of /*** i won’t be surprise there is a way to query their database for Mob kill count in the channel. :sweat_smile:

Also a reason why Zaibas gem in KTOS goes up to 35m LEL.

I only partially blame IMC for Gachas. The trend in gaming is a RNG loot crate like system and it clearly brings in additional income which of course is one of the goals of a business. I wouldn’t mind it as much if all items would go:

TP Store -> Gacha -> Medal

It would give everyone an opportunity to buy them in a timely matter while still generating increased income. (Not that I have access to IMC’s numbers.) It seems like a practical compromise.

I’d rather have them go with similar functionalities compared to dota 2’s chest system. the one we have atm is just pure cash grab and every new gacha there’s less people buying the goddess cubes.

the initial Sailor / Royal Guard were not as expensive when they were new, compared to the smart casuals we have now.

of course the trash looking costumes are still cheap.

You mean not being able to receive the same item twice until all items are dropped?
