Pls fix Hunter, so good but buggy

Hunter is so fun to play (if it worked), has nice oneshot skills and stuff… its just that its bugging 24/7… Hit by certain cc= pet will never move until zone change or relog… Cast skill with 9sec cd, and ur pet will be bugged for 25seconds (maximum duration of skill)

Meh… Pls fix <3

The companion AI is still bugged if you send the command to the pet attack a monster or player when they are walking the companion never hit the target because when the companion come close the target already moved. The companion go to the next square and when they reach the enemy the enemy is on other square and this happen for the eternity.

Why Rush Dog/Retrieve/Coursing works like all others skills. Clicking on target with 100% accuracy or using Aim like multi shot skill.

Hunter skills aren’t working properly compared to others archers skills.

Please fix the companion AI or change the skills to work like archer/falconer skills.

my companion hits the target when i use spell, but it just needs to be in range of my char and the enemy

I have used my alt hunter just for farming, things i’ve noticed/read from others
1.) Coursing is really the cause of the bug of the pet not moving, specially inside dungeons unless your going solo, since the target dies before your companion casts/finishes it(imo)

2.)Rush Dog, 70% of the time you need to face your enemy and your pet must be in skill range to use the skill properly for it to actually work, just use target lock while holding z down so you always face your target, that’s what i always do

3.)Other skills needs to be in range of your pet, dunno about c2 and c3 skills yet since i’m still c1 hunter

  1. Let coursing’s timer complete and the pet will be fine, you can do rush dog while it is coursing but another command like hounding or retrieve will mess it up.

Points 2 and 3 always required to be in range

Thing is letting pet finish 25sec+ coursing skill is fuking broken. Spell even has 9 second cd, its supposed to be spammable after it kills target.

And again if my pet gets hit with some hard cc it will not move before relog or switch map.

Rush dog is just fine imo, pet and mob needs to be in range of my char, nothing wrong with that, same goes for coursing too btw, like all the skills, rush dog has no problems but the gameplay skill. Its not the best made spell in game but atleast it dont force u to lose ur weapon (pet) for 25seconds or to relog game.

I just keep it at level 5, the skill is way too powerful for what it grants. Lasting time should be like retrieve, goes up a second per level

Hunter’s design is broken. Psycho have skills that ignores Dispeller / Bloodletting doing massive AoE damage that stuns and kill entire mobs. You can also use it on bosses, so why Coursing cannot be used on some boss for the damage ?

Another point is get your target as Hunter. Make the companion hit the closest target isn’t a permanent measure. While Retrieve and Coursing was stacking at the same target, you could CC Kill any non-boss single target making enemy players need to run for their lifes when pet starts moving. But now your pet only can use one of skills, because on PvP it bugs if you use Coursing than Retrieve.

The converse is not true, which is retrieve then coursing, because retrieve makes the pet move whereas coursing makes the pet stationary on contact.

The issue is pratically the same for all AI reliant classes.

Hunter will require to get nerfed if the AI gets better.

CC the target until it dies is not fun as have tons of bugs in AI.

Sadly, the bad AI and the bugs would be the least of your worries if you level up through questing. I’m currently lv178, and my pet only lv155. My pet dies to anything around my level within 3 hits, and I’m not even talking about fighting bosses.

Please dont drop by to talk sh1t, its not AI issue here, pet AI is playable as it is but there are plain bugs, like skeleton warrior who couldnt move from spot= if it could it needed nerf, right?

Hunter is broken on both borderlines.

While the AI that is required to use all skills from Hunter is unreliable, being able to perma-lock a single target until it dies by spamming coursing and retrieve (especially pvp-wise) is unhealthy as heck.

It seems that you don’t read properly since I said that HUNTERS will need to get nerfed, if the other AI classes require it it’s none of my concerns.

You are aware that hunters do have a hard time in team battles when they cannot isolate an opponent. Their specialty is locking down opponents.

You should see all the Sorcerer bugs. XD Good thing my pet hits like a truck hauling buses otherwise I’d have to hang him from a tree and shoot him.

Getting stuck to animation when there is no opponent is not AI its bug. Getting stuck when cc’ed to point where u need to relog, is not AI, is bug. Yes? Artifical intelligence is far away from being locked to cast animation.

Yes, I am aware of that, but only as an assumption since there are not enough source that prove such thing.

As I mentioned above, the only thing that stops Hunter from being a game breaking class is the AI, when IMC releases an AI enhancement which causes the pet to accurately accept commands the class will become way too strong.

I have a Hunter C3 on Orsha and a C2 on Silute, I’m aware of that.

AI and bugs are completely different things please understand that :cry:

I have no solid proof to counter argument that but I shall say that they are related, like rubbing each other.

Coursing and Retrieve: When the pet uses the skills and the target dies before the duration ceases, the AI doesn’t recognize that the target no longer exists, hence the reason of pet biting/dragging the air.

Rush Dog: Quite messed up right now, for several reasons:

  • Rush Dog stuns (attribute) even though the pet is out of each/unsummoned, several times it also deals damage after certain amount of time under the same situation.

  • If you Rush Dog during Coursing, the pet will glitch out and keep rubber banding non-stop for the duration of Coursing, as if it is trying to toggle two different behaviors at the same time.

  • if you Rush Dog during Retrieve your companion you go back to you even though it’s standing still in your screen, causing the skill to cease.

Growling: Most of the time the ‘disable AI’ feature doesn’t work properly, monsters tend to run away from the CC after a set amount of seconds.

A bit, still buggy and annoying sometimes but playable.

The AI pets are terrible. The class and AI pets need a complete & serious rework.
