If the other 4 players are sitting by the torch and not doing anything, I’ll follow them too. Do everything as a party, want to fail torch defense also fail as a party. They can’t blame me cuz they aren’t doing anything too.

Some skills have us stuck in one place while we use them,have you considered that? When I use my Stabbing move in particular,I have to stay where I am for a few seconds or the attack is cancelled.And with 22k HP and my own supply of potions,I’m likely going to stay there and take the hit so I can apply that damage.Obviously I won’t if I’m already low on HP,but it depends on circumstances.A good swordsman pays attention.
I’ve participated plenty of times in protecting the torch.But when I have say,a 4 archer party like I did yesterday and they immediately start killing everything in .2 seconds with Kneeling Shot…yes I’m probably going to stay seated.Ranged classes can kill from a distance unlike me,who has to run around and hit everything directly.It makes sense to me,and I’ve never seen or heard any complaints about it.If others wanted me to help,I gladly would if they asked.
I’m sorry you’ve had some bad experiences with Swordsman.I’ve seen my share of less than optimal builds…especially with HP.But please remember that we’re not all like that.
I’m already ticked as is that a branch I enjoy has been reduced to “LF Taunt” in Shout chat.We’re not a skill,we’re people trying to have a nice time playing the game just like you are.It’s things like this that make me glad I rarely use the skill.The branch needs some adjusting,but so do the attitudes of people towards it.

Poor swordies. Anyway lets not do that as it will take away the diversities that is being promoted by the game. What people needs to do is to figure out how could they function in a team.
