Having to use chat to find parties is not the best method. Sometimes you need to list yourself then go off and do something else while you’re waiting. PF can also allow you to list what roles you’ve filled and what you still need.

F6 is the party menu…
And you can advertise your party as public and people can join (highly recommend making proper info tho, like “at X location channel Y”).
Can you advertise yourself as available to join an existing party or do you always have to be the leader.
I’m pretty sure the game asks you if you want to join a party that is already made however the party that you are joining requires the leader leave the search party member function on which is a checked box at the bottom of the party settings menu and clicks it and allows you to join.
edit: I always turn it off anyways because it really is cumbersome to have a notification pop up constantly but otherwise, you have to advertise yourself. (just bother people sitting down if they want to party)
In that menu, left side is for your own party (if you’re in one)
And right side shows some party that is open for joining and their information.
Double click on those will ask for confirmation, if you accept you will just join said party instantly.
