Please alter the laws of physics

I understand what he meant by it drops he was referring to drops from entity’s inside the game such as monsters or chests but he also mentioned regarding people selling tokens on the market place because there brought for real money the thing he did not relies is regardless if it can be brought outside the game if it can still be sold in game to another player via a market place with in game currency it justify that even if you don’t have the money in real life you can still obtain it within the game.

Unfortantly he keeps trying to drag out as P2W as a excuse you.
Do also understand what upset means?

did a google search on the word “upset” and this was one of the results.
“make (someone) unhappy, disappointed, or worried.”

Clearly he keeps mentioning P2W in a bad light would mean that he is unhappy/worried about such things being in the game.

The reason I comment with facts is because if left unchecked with these negative people could influence someone who does not understand some context and take it on board and become negative I for one look for facts and logical reasoning it might come off harsh but its removing those who try to spread miss information or trying to put something in a bad light based on exaggerated information if someone proves me wrong and backs it up with facts then I will likely retract what I said and apology promptly because I can admit that I can be wrong as I am only human.

Good move, Julie.

I think my joke post has caused more trouble than I would have expected, best it be somewhere outside the realm of serious conversation and suggestions.

i hope you’re joking:

  • not in one single post i’ve ever said that “i’m upset because i don’t get treated the same way as who have token”.
  • i will be playing the founder server anyway, if i want i can use token anytime
  • what i wrote was just an explanation of what it actually mean the phrase “it must be possible to get the item in game”

So i’m beeing told that i “don’t think before i write” and that “i’m upset for something i never even tought, figures if i said it” but If you go and read my post then you will find out that what i just stated is the truth and so the only one that actually replied to something without even reading or turning his/her brain on was the one that actually answered to me

Damn i even clearly stated that the token system should remain in the game

So yeah, i was right in saying that “he/she is the one not thinking before writing”

I really feel with you, I dont know why people keep attacking you for something you havent even implied anywhere xD

It’s just politics… People know they’re being illegitimate. But they’ill do it anyway to control the atmosphere… Since it’s more important then pesky things like reality.

But… it is the complicated nature of the Token system that helps along the illusion that it’s not P2W or at the very least P2getrich. At it’s heart it really is just an RMT system that runs through the publisher. I wonder though if ToS would be financially viable with other types of monetization or not. I bet only the accountants have a vague idea. Better to just go with the market standard of 2016 and call it good.

I’m actually extremly concerned about the mmos market standard for 2016 you know?

Let me explain:

Blade and Soul:
Free to Play but a subscription model that makes currency (gold) only droppable in game by subscribers… meaning if you’re not a subscriber you can kill hundred of thousands of enemies and you won’t get a single cent via grinding… add that to the fact that in that game you need money even if you want to take a piss and you understand how bad this thing is.

Black Desert:
F2P in every part of the world BUT in the international version that goes B2P… everyone happy because that means there won’t be P2W… so the publishers actually decided to make an in game cash shop, in a buy to play game, that has higher prices than the most expensive free to play game… no comment

Tree of Savior:
Locked trade, locked team storage, stat booster scrolls etc etc… we’ll just have to see how it goes.

Yeah i’m damn worried about the 2016 market standard ;/

I cant speak for blade and soul but I am currently playing Black desert and you are incorrect… all I keep hearing is the PVP ghillie suit is P2W and a number of other items like the pets that auto loot for you or cosmetics that give stats (wagon cosmetics gives bonus to armour and speed).

I personally don’t think they are p2w but there is people who say in the general chat that there P2W…

I didn’t say black desert is P2W, i said that the cash shop is more expensive then a free to play game and that game is actually B2P… please i beg you… before answering a post try to read it…-.-

Svalinn suddenly has an Avatar picture! D:
But OT: Could we go back to changing the laws of physics to acommodate the needed changes please? The discussion derailed kinda from that >_>
And Yeah BDO is increadibly expensive and the Ghillie suite is not the only piece of gear there with stats in the cashshop btw. Fish costume gives + fishing and swimspeed(whatever).
Underwear increases Luck(Itemdropchance in general)
So yeah there are miniscule “p2w” thingis in it but nothing that increases powerlvl or resourcegain by a margin that would make non-extrapayers obsolete in comparison.
Even the Ghillie suit isnt world moving. You can hardly be oneshottet anyways in BDO so it only gives you the firststrikebonus, and even that only if the opponent hasnt seen you already. As far as i could fetch on teh usage of the suit its more people who are afraid of open pvp who use it then actual PK’ers. So in that case its not a p2w but more a “pay to not lose”.
Do i like stuff like that implemented in any game? Honestly, only when it is sellable in the tradingpost so its more or less accessible to everyone. Otherwise if its not tradable I would, personally, not approve of it being available at all. At least thats my point of view.

Lol, are you stalkering me? xD xD xD

I’ve got nothing better to do then hanging in the forums and until some hours ago your posts all hat the base avatar xD It caught my eye! xD

i did a brake down of your post i clearly stated i have not played blade and soul so i could not comment on that part and the part about black desert i just gave you a answer from my own personal play experience and by your response is still not good to your ears it seems like anything i say that could come off as correcting you that you tend to respond with “try to read it” message i have read it there’s no other way i could read it and i answered what you said… try this go on google and type Black desert cash shop and view how many results say the items on it are under the classification of p2w…

Stop trying to play it off as ignorance and accept it for what it is…

You are correct on that factor of pay to loose i did mention i don’t see them as P2W but the general population in the regard’s to the items sold on there tend to put them under the P2W classification.

Please, someone please explain to Kaligoth that if someone write “the game has an expensive cash shop” and he answer “you are incorrect because the game is not play to win” his answer is absolutly NOT related to the post he’s answering to. Please really cause i’m losing hope about his abilities to actually understand human language and i’d better off knowing that he just has problems understanding what i write…

because I am reading deeper into what you meant the thing I’m curious to is everyone should know its not possible to P2W in a game with no cash shop so why mention P2W when you was talking about B2P game…

Also from the beginning they have had a cash shop because logically no game that has a buy once to play method without making income after the person has brought the game because once everyone has the game where will they get more money to fund there business?

The reason I mentioned the play to win was a mistake on my part so I do apology for that been thinking into a lot of topics so I tend to get lost with wording.

Well it’s definitely the standard… but at least we know it’s not the only way. Path of Exile, and FFXIV are both living examples of the alternatives. And they’ve both managed to build their brand and retain their players because they’ve put out such good products. Just looking at Path of Exile it continues to grow larger then ever before with their latest expansion: http://steamcharts.com/app/238960 and that’s just steam users. I just don’t think ToS is the same scale right now though. And we know Path at least started with a very small team for a game so big.
