Yeah I also thought of that possibility too! It works pretty well, and could be a real pain during GvGs.
Provided you keep track of your accumulated damage and don’t die by accident.
Or you could just accumulate all the damage you want and nullify everything with Safety Zone.
SAFETY CAN NULLIFY IT ALL? Holy crap… I didn’t think that would be possible…
Definitely saw someone do it in Demon Prison, unless they ninja nerfed it.
Hope they didn’t, cuz I’ll definetely try it!
Here’s another thread confirming that it works.
Nice! Thank you
I just realised that I don’t know nothing about equip and stat builds though…
Does anyone here know about this? Like the Best Cards in game or something like that?
As for the Stats, since max lvl is 280 and Rank 7, I was thinking about
9 Str
107 Con (For surviving)
200 Int (For Incineration)
130 Spr (For SP and Hexing)
3 Dex
Hey!
I think the status calculator is not 100% accurate and it still needs to get improved but… Your build is very similar to the one I’ve created! Basically, I’m gonna have less Con and more Int.
Btw, only sorcerers can use cards in an offensive way!
I heard something about daggers vs Wands vs Staffs… But I have no idea which one is the best choice. Much less for armor vs robes
Arde Dagger + Staff/Rod/Sword etc…?
This dagger grants you +153 fire attack. I don’t know how fire attack can increase your overall damage… but it works!
I tested this dagger when I was playing with my Chronomancer.
My damage with a Expecta Staff (96 MATK + 182 Magic Penetration) was like… 700…850…750 and when I switched to an Arde Dagger it was like… 950, 950, 950, 950!!
Looks like this dagger can turn your normal attack into a fixed amount of damage. I might be wrong but that’s what I felt/noticed while using this dagger.
If this increases Incineration’s fire damage, then I’ll get it
Elemental damage is tacked onto all damage you deal, no matter what type the skill normally deals.
Its nearly as good as plain old Magic attack. Better if you have an effect like Sacrament on you, as the elemental damage will add on to the bonus holy damage hit.
It adds to Wugashi poison, so it ought to work on Incinerate.
Wow did not know that. Well, just ought to test all equips I can then… Man I wish ToS equip builds were easier, like Ragnarok’s
Will you be able to play the kOBT?
Armor wise:
- Plate offers def, phys dmg reduction and bonus health. You also take 50% more hit dmg and 25% less slash dmg.
- Leather offers evasion, both flat and dex scaling. You also take 50% more stab dmg and 25% less hit dmg.
- Cloth offers more sp and magic dmg reduction. You also take 50% more slash dmg and 25% less stab dmg)
Mind you, both defense and magic defense reduce dmg by a flat amount and therefor aren’t that great in majority of situations.
Evasion is a very good defensive stat in comparison but the dmg reductions are very good as well.
And the sp bonus isn’t that needed for clerics as it doesn’t boost sp regen.
Majority of clerics take plate for the added health. But arguably all 3 are viable.
Weapon wise:
- Swords offer only phys attack.
- Blunts offer solid mix of phys attack and magic attack.
- Rods offer only magic attack.
- Shields offer additional defense and a small amount of block.
- Daggers offer a stab type attack with the c button and can increase all dmg dealt if they have +elemental dmg.
And every second class gets weapon swap anyway, so you should carry around two sets.
Basically a phys based build will want a sword+arde dagger and a blunt + arde dagger.
A int build will want a rod + arde dagger and a blunt + arde dagger.
Shields aren’t that necessary for us, esp since we can’t use them to manually block anyway.
Stat wise:
- Str is of no use for plague doctors or kabbalists that i know off.
- Dex is mainly for physical builds as well, but the added evasion can be very good way to keep you alive longer.
- Int increases all magic attack, but not all magic skills scale with that. None the less it’s only dps option casters have.
- Spr is largely unnecessary for clerics for sp, most cleric builds can regen enough sp with only 25 spr to stay active 24/7. Sp use does differ a lot per build though, and clerics do have very nice spr scaling skills.
- Con is rather bad for clerics, our base health isn’t that bad and we can heal most dmg we do take. But it does prevent one hits with minimal investment. Wouldn’t put to much in this unless you plan to go full support.
Basically majority of plague doctor dmg seems to be from incinerate and other magic skills, so ramp up that int and put 25-50 in each con and spr.
Mind you all of this is based on icbt2, some advice may already be outdated due to changes.
I didn’t know that Fumigate causes dmg
was thinking of incinerate and wrote the wrong name, my bad.
Ooooh… Haha no problem!
Wow thank you very very very much for this info, omg. Even if some things may have changed in OBT, I’ll follow your advices. Thank you again, now I may understand the game better! Do you know anything about Cards? @douglassenpai2015 said that only sorcerers can use them offensively, but does that mean we can equip them for defensive bonus? Thank you again!
