Ping Problems from PH

Hi! Im from the Philippines and currently playing in Varena.
my internet provider is PLDT and im using PLDT Fiber with 50 mbps.
I always get an average ping of 200 - 450, peak hours or not.
I can play League with a stable 9ms ping and Dota 2 with 20-25ms.
Im not using any VPN software like WTFast, pingzapper, mudfish etc.

Im playing an AA based character and i cant even deal proper DPS cause of the lag.

I just want to know if there is a way to reduce my ping ? Is the lag from ToS;s client or from my internet or location ?

Thank you!

Regarding lag it doesn’t matter if you have 50mbps or 50000mbps after certain point and with 50 you’re quite far from that point.
Anyways, lag is because the server and your PH comrades(RMTers, gold sellers, bots)

PLDC has bad routing through SG (Amazon EC2) best way to reduce your ping is get a subscription of wtfast/pingzapper/mudfish or any gaming vpn you prefer or change your ISP to globe/converge/sky broadband or anything. i think PLDC is one of the ■■■■■■ up routing when it goes outside, some said it routes to HK first before going to SG (which is im not really sure).

Play in Telsiai. It is a much much better server than Varena

You’re not alone. Lots of PLDT users are encountering the same problem. If you dont want to change ISP, then grit your teeth while playing.

ow. I thought this is a rare case, that relieves me. at least i know im not the only one XD

You’re not. I’m not even subscribed to PLDC (or sometimes, PLDsht) but the lag really is terrible at times. It’s hard to find a good moment to play without too much interference lol.

Change is coming

Seems to be not a problem with Globe though their current plans are FUP trash (I have a legacy account).

The server itself is the cause of lag most of the time due to insufficient capacity, at least before the Tuesday maintenance.

Lag had been minimized since then, hopefully for good.

I’m from the PH too and also using PLDC. I experience the same lag/delay but I don’t think this one is PLDC’s fault. As the OP said, he/she is playing LoL and Dota 2 with no problem. So I think this is a server connectivity issue. Hopefully they fix it soon
