I’m currently using PLDT 10mbps fibr plan from the Philippines playing on SEA server Telsia.
I have a constant ping of atleast 0.3 every time I check, while my girlfriend playing on GLOBE 3mbps gets 0.08 constant ping.
I’m just inquiring to other PLDT users who play in SEA servers on what their ping is, so I can see if this is an isolated issue unique to me or an ISP issue. Thanks in advance~
ISP issue, you gotta use mudfish to improve your latency. Though some lower PLDT plans seem to not have this issue
Globe prefers to route traffic through Singapore because SingTel is a major stock holder of Globe. Globe will have better ping to Singapore, most of the time. Even without mudfish.
PLDT prefers to route traffic through HK. Unless you are using mudfish or any other VPN tunnel, your ping will be HK ping + Singapore ping.
This is an ISP issue BUT do not expect help from ISP customer service. Game traffic optimization has zero priority for ISPs because the game community is a minority. You(gamers) have no effect on their revenue. PH ISP’s over there have over 1000 installs pending everyday. Why would they care about complaining gamer?
Get Mudfish or any similar service.

Note that internet speed doesn’t always correlate ping. This is a matter of host to host routing compatibility.
Better solution is to subscribe on a GPN such as WTFast and Mudfish.
