Physical discomfort from Monstrance skill sound effect

I’d like to say I’m having fun with the game. Recently I made a Priest and got the skill Monstrance. The problem is the sound effect for the lingering circles is hurting my ears. The sound effect is extremely shrill and piercing. I find I don’t want to use the skill because of the pain and discomfort the sound causes.

I didn’t find anyone else mentioning this in the forums, so I figure I should make the suggestion to change or alter the sound effect for the lingering circles after Monstrance is used to sound less shrill/piercing and high pitched.

Edited to clarify that the pain is more to the degree of getting a bad paper cut, not like a debilitating pain that causes a person to crumple on the floor. Also nice to know I wasn’t the only one having issues with sound effects.

i think you should visit a real doctor instead, it might be something serious regarding your health

I agree, the sound is kind of annoying. I could see how it could cause pain if you had really sensitive hearing. The pitch should definitely be lowered.

eww you’re right. I have my sound effects down quite a bit and my music up high so I’ve never heard it, but that’s a pretty shrill noise. It needs some dampening I think.

I changed my skills and refuse to use it simply because of the sound.

while we’re at it I hate how Reflect shield looks and sounds. It has this annoying, repetitive metallic sound and it looks so white it blurs your screen when many party members are together.

They really should do something to fix it. I may make a topic reporting that later.
