FIrst off to IMC, great job! You’ve listened to the community and determined that cheaters should never prosper and should be punished accordingly. While some people (people who got banned) seem to think that 30 days is somewhat of a harsh punishment, there are others like myself that think more can be done. Don’t get me wrong, this is a HUGE step in dealing with the persistent issues of cheaters around here, and one that will no doubt cause a few to think about their actions. However, let’s be honest, this is but a drop in the bucket for those players that have been cheating for a long time. If you don’t believe me, see for yourself:
What will happen unfortunately is that these embarassments will wait out their 30 day ban and then continue on cheating most likely. Those that have been fortunate enough to make it this far while cheating will still be so far ahead of the players that play this game on the up-and-up (like myself). I think there is one solution here, and that is a permaban when it comes to blatant cheating of this sorts. Permabans, although a thing of mmo past, were very convincing and kept most games free of game breaking cheaters. I ask that you reconsider these 30 day bans and extend them permanently. Thank you!
