Petition: Nerf Missile Hole. A single Rank should NOT make entire classes from Rank 1 to 8 useless

It would be even worse if was possible to insert images, sound or 3D models, specially the latter.

Breaking the game would be easy, but only on the client side tho.

The thing is, since the game is nowhere near optimized, every add-on activated can cause some small issues like stuttering or fps loss.

As an external spectator, if offtopic is considered spam (which actually is) then I don’t know why are you talking about addons and how to manage them on a skill thread.

But I haven’t followed the lead just red the last comments tbh.

You can add (existing) images to other places, didn’t check if possible to load something external tho.

Since someone is trying to be the “correct knight” and I agree to some extend:

I don’t like letting nice people without answer. On others tho… I prefer leaving ignored.

That doesn’t mean that you are discussing something non-related to this post, I’m always clear about that, non-related stuff should go apart on other threads or PM but then reminding that to people makes me a salty person :joy::joy::joy:

I found a way to balance PvP :

Create the Novice class. You start the game at lvl 1 base and 1 job. You have no way to xp. Your only gear is a lvl 1 knife. You can only access to PvP.

In PvP you can only auto attack people, you have only one skill point to put in “basic skill”, which does nothing except telling you you need lvl 2 basic skill to jump and attack while jumping.

Once you started PvP you cannot leave it, forever.

This is how I would fix MH…

I used to play pvp before rank 8. As archer 2, hunter 1, scout 1, wugushi 3.
Now as mergen I use wugushi skills to fight missile hole. Full draw and gu pot with raeverpede, or coursing and gu pot. In my case it was always harder. Since a item that has no delay can destroy my class.

That’s exactly what I say, it destroys the class. It would be balanced if lower duration imo, any adjustment would do it since it covers almost all cases and applies to entire party.

Even though one can use hunter skills (that’s melee, not Missile) it shouldn’t be the only skills you have available, for Wugushi there’s Antidotes and status immunity, Full Draw doesn’t apply the root/stuck effect because Missile Hole (nor Heavy Shot’s knockback).

Most of these only works for certain cases (mostly, manged to get 1v1 by Retrieve+call pet bug or bad team composition). It would also be fine to roll specific classes to deal with Missile Hole (all melee+status ailment) but then only if it applied only to caster.

I fight Missile Hole by using Steady Aim+Glass Mole+Time Bomb Arrow for Crit&+50% against Plate status effect with added knockdown (around 15-20k damage at the moment), during the knockdown I use Barrage to put in hit counts and manage to get around 12-16 hits. Again, that only works when I manage to pull a 1v1 fight. Marching Fire spam on someone to cancel skills, also works, as long you got 1v1. As long any of these gets handled by an enemy team, it’s done and you’re back to useless.

on that note (wugu+antidote dilemma) , its been said since forever and its not even hard to put even a 3sec delay on antidote, but we havent got that happening.

MH definitely need rework, big question is, WHEN?

ya, and the pd bloodletting (should be single target instead of 1click-whole-party)

we still waiting for the changes…

this isnt just MH issue alone

personally, how confident u are that we will see those changes in 2017?

not hueing, but, at this point. i dont think tos is progressing much in terms of balancing.

at best, its only 10% of all the issue has been addressed to so far. 1year to fix 10%… oh well.

But yeah, I’m not particulary hopeful in seeing any freaking changes. I mean, it’s not like there were 2 betas in which hunter problems were reported all the way since like 2015. and the changes came in late november, and weren’t fully implemented until late december. but hey! hue?

The time window for the nerf/adjustment to come isn’t what I call in this thread. Be today, tomorrow, next month, next year doesn’t change the skill being unbalanced.

It does need rework and in my opinion, it should be talked about at least once since balance talks are a thing currently.

The difference on Bloodletting and everything else, Ausrine and etc is simply uptime. They’re not 100%, Missile Hole is, that’s the root of the problem. 1 minute and 40 seconds vs buff 20-30 seconds.

And none of those skills breaks an entire class tree like MH, they simply can be dealt with in any way or another. That’s the opinion of any archer that plays PvP (note that “plays PvP” infers, like, actually plays the game too).

I’m kinda sure tbh, everything will be solved when the game closes :joy:

Like how Oracle 1 can be just as good as Oracle 3. If IMC is going to balance classes, they’re going to have to strongly consider the balance within a class before they can consider outside of the class

That’s one of the reasons I think Missile Hole scaling should be taken into consideration. On next ranks it will be able to block 49 hits which doesn’t makes any sense, it’s something that needs to be foresee and addressed, so a Lv.15 skill Circle 3 can be “a bit OP” but if it stays as it is, it’s completely broken on any higher ranks.

I agree with all what you’re saying about MH, but can confirm that FD’s root effect works.

maybe it will only have 5 ranks like bloodletting. then something like halving the hit count in pvp = problem solved… would take about an hour to fix.
