Petition:Monster gems shouldn't be destroyed upon gem extraction

I agree that monster gems should not break after extraction, but I’m ok with them being untradable. The drop rate should be higher than it is now though, they are damn too rare now which makes farming the gems you need pretty much impossible, as seen from some people’s numbers… Grinding is ok but jesus there is a limit how much we should need to grind.

Just make them tradable, problem solve chop chop in 1 line of code.

The purpose of them breaking is to keep the supply low and the demand high, making them even more valuable. If they could be freely sent around from item to item then there would be no end to the monster gem’s lifespan. Supply would surely overtake demand in a couple of years’ time.

How about instead of making them not break on gear have an entirely different interface for them

The characters are already revelators give them a random revelation that you can insert the gems into to boost your skills. Make it fun and not a grind

This prevents the issue of them being essentially useless until lolopanther gear and allows people to use them when you get them

Yes of course there should also still be limits insert one of each monster no more etc etc

For how rare they are this is the most reasonable while also keeping 100% untradable

Listen my than:
280+200+150+150+100 levels
Tonns of time grinding in parties.
ONLY ONCE SEEN A GEM DROPPED TO MATE.
And i have around 10 friends with the same story.
But not all so bad :smiley:
There also 2 friends who did see 3 gems dropped to mates in whole playtime.

For those guys who like calculations:
1.450.000 mobs killed to reach 280
But some of them probably do not have gem drop implemented.

  1. drop rate is simply too low and it is not easy to obtain 1 monster gem. Perhaps imc should try playing the game to know their game better.

  2. by saying that the value of the monster gem will drop over time because there will be too many in market? I highly doubt so. Reason being, look at the drop rate. By the time this happens, there will actually be more different kinds coming out since this game is still developing.

  3. this allow more player interaction as well as a more mmo feel for an actual mmo. With the new implementation of monster gems not getting destroyed after extracting it out. We can now trade gems for gems socketed in items with other players. Instead of having to pass seller the equipment to socket the gem in and getting scam immediately or right after buyer purchased a item listed by the seller on market.

IMHO, the extraction of monster gem which doesnt destroy it will help the game, making it into a better environment and players would stay longer. If u set as destroyed after monster gem extraction. No one would dare to socket their gems in. Today i socket in the “currently” best weapon. 2 weeks later game release new patch and comes out with better weapon. So am i gonna say bye bye to my monster gem.? :’) With this idea, no one would really be brave enough to socket their monster gem on items unless they have totally no intention of changing it no matter what. Which results in, not many people are willing or are able to dive deeper into the game and explore.

This is just trying to limit our gameplay tbh. Imc you should really look at it and think about it over of making monster gem unable to be destroyed upon extraction.

New player here, dropped 3 monster gem between lvl 50 & lvl 67(and one idk when in my first char which I left lvl49) but none for my class. I hope I didnt spend all my luck on those >.<
I’d be happy to make some money from them in the future now that I read they are kinda rare lol

That all depends on what skill does the monster gem buff. :slight_smile:

Hint @ IMC :
If your players are required to channel hop in order to get acceptable grinding experience to hunt normal monsters you know your respawn rate is too low.

Yeah i got 3 Gems with my A2QS3SR Twink.
1.Drop Slithering Gem on DP2 Grind
2.Simony Gem on Bee Grind
3.Transform Gem from XP Grind in Victis Square

I dont have a Rodolero or Druid but i know no one needs this Gems.
Simony is ok because i have a ClericC2KrivisC1PaladinC3 and can go Pardoner R7,
to make Barrierscrolls lvl.7
The Gem i need(Running Shot) will be worth 10kk or more
because there only 4 Mobs/channel.

Not all monsters drop them, so those stats people post are pointless. You might have killed billion monsters, but only few hundred of the right ones.

Fact is I got 4 of them already and haven’t even reach above lvl 100 on any character. That is the beauty of doing all monster achievements. Collections and rare items just pop in every hour like that :slight_smile:

i do have 1 running shot gem in my grandcross +10. 2 sockets. 1 with running shot gem 1 still not yet socket with any gem. :wink:

which you will destroy soon when you upgrade from that grandcross :stuck_out_tongue: hope you have second one, this feels like a waste, you should one hit everything without it anyway :stuck_out_tongue:

I did played at CBT and knew I could extract the gems without destroying them, but unfortunately happened an kToS update which i dind’t knew; result: today I lost a Monster Gem worth more than 15kk because I put on ssssh’1t shoes and cannot sell for more than 7k silvers on market.

Please make monster gem tradeable!!!
