Perfetct Control

Hello,
Since I started playing TOS I am constantly switching between the keyboard and the mouse control Option, because both, as far as I can st up, lack some basic functions, so I am trying to ask for help now:

• in Keyboard mode: aiming at a target without a mouse feels wrong to me. I am mostly playing shooters so letting the autoaim decide what to shoot is irritating. Even If I can switch targets using a key(Tab) it is off putting. It feels bad to tell my avatar “not this one, no not this one either, no maybe the next one, ahh now we are on our target” especially on bossfights with a ton of creeps. So aiming with the mouse in the one and only good solution for me…

• in mouse mode I cannot fix 2 very basic problems: it is assumed, that when u are using a mouse, you do not need another key for attacking and for interaction. those are not even listed in the controls menu, it is automatically assigned to your mouse button and you have to deal with it. The 2 Problems arising from that are:
  1: There is no autoshoot, you cannot constatnly shoot while walking, and the fun of taking out creepwaves with holding down a button is taken from you, it doesnt work when holding down the mouse button
  2: Interacting with any quest NPC/Item takes allot of effort, since you cannot just use a button anymore, you have sometimes have to pinpoint a square of 3-6 pixels with your mouse to interact. Thats is the most annoying part. Sometimes I quit the game after I cannot interact with an NPC without changing the controls back to keaboard.

A game awesome and complex as this, the error must lie with me. So please tell me If anyone had those troubles as well and how u fixed em.

In the same boat as you. I also prefer mouse control, and I mix with keyboard. For my SR it’s quite good: I move most of the time with mouse, only for Retreat Shooting against a wall I use the keys, which still works in mouse mode. Moving during Limaconing is actually better in mouse mode then with keys, and subweapon key also works with mouse mode.
For my doctor, I also prefer mouse mode, although the game discourages that. I wouldn’t know how to aim ground effects with keyboard - always in front of char so you need to turn the char around? I just need to point the mouse in the direction where I want the ground effect - sometimes i fumble, my bad. Only thing that bothers me with my doctor in mouse mode: if I could just turn of the autoattack completely so that mouse click always moves the char irrespective of a monster at the targeted location.
