Percentage Skill Enhancing Question

Skill: Full Draw Enhance
Max level: 100
Passive
Description: Increases the damage dealt on an enemy with [Full Draw] by 1% per attribute level.

“Increases the damage dealt on an enemy with [Full Draw] by 1% per attribute level.”

Has it been tested to see if 1% is actually 1% in this game?
because to new comers to %'s in games, or games that use a more basic formula this would seem like a 100% increse or Double Damage for short.
But those of you who have played other games know what I mean in something like RO1 (which TOS takes a lot of mechanics from) 50% was double damage and 100% was quad damage.

do we know if TOS is like this or not?

I wouldn’t be surprised if it were quad, because later on Bosses have A LOT of HP and a simple 300 dmg skill even at quad damage is not going to cut the bacon…

I was deciphering a another TOS forum that was in Portuguese and some of them theorized that this is actually a percentage of your STR or INT that is added to the skill’s damage but that seems very unlikely.

Yes… 100% of your Damage (which escales with STR) and magic damage (escale with INT) goes to your skills. Im surprised people keep thinking they don’t just because skills have a “base damage”.

Also, you get a 10% str and int for each Rank you go up.

Each skill’s damage (with some exceptions) consists of 2 parts: skill damage itself (that may or may not scale with stats) and characters attack/magic attack (depends on skill type). Overall skill damage is a sum of those two. So some skills can double benefit from some stats.

As for the question about %'s attributes - i’m not entirely sure if it applies to end damage (character’s attack + skill’s damage) or just multiplies skill damage. But at max level is should double something

@arkraven
well i just got my key a few days ago so up until that point i had done little to no research on anything in TOS
so 100% means double the damage that the skill does when it makes contact?

Also would you happen to have the formula on hand or point m in the direction to locate it?
I would like to know how skill damage is calculated.

@nizidr
How can you tell if its a skill that scales with stats, or not?

@xechidna

@nizidr
that doesnt answer my question…

@xechidna
Choose the class, move your mouse over the skill and skill may have formula in its description if it depends on some stat.
Best example would be Cleric: 3 out of 4 of his starter skills scale with Int or Spr. So for damaging skills each point in Int increases damage for these skills by 2.

As for initial question about attribute damage %'s. Found a skill that has no own damage but has damage% attribute (Carve on Dievdirbys) so it is most likely that it applies to overall skill damage.

@nizidr
yeh testing it on those little crystal things that give you stamina becuase they have 0 def

it seems that unless the skill states otherwise its ((skill base dmg + weapon DMG + STR/INT) - Enemy’s DEF + armor and attack type variance x tribute level)
and if you cit, then you STR gets added again

not exactly str, but crit atk - an additional parameter. and then it gets multiplied by 1.5 iirc (crit multiplier)

@nizidr
your crit damage is your max STR so its the crit modifier then +your STR

except for items that add specifically to crit atk, like Iron Bow for example.
