In most cases I do not care about AFK’s. But it has a kind that bothers me and I think that hinders the mechanics of the game.
They are AFK’s farming dilgele.
Alchemists can make good money with the potions, but has a mechanical limiting. The Wizard has to farm their own, because the minimum price in the auction is 9K. Farming herbs with bots or AFK greatly increases the amount of potins and a non-earned money.
Some people will think, “That’s good, lowers the price of potions”, but not quite.
If you want cheap potions fine. I (and I think that’s most Alchemists) change 5 dilgeles for a healing potion. But you have to farm their dilgele not leave a AFK not farming.
I can’t really get what are you trying to imply actually…
Isn’t AFK farming the only reason you roll necromancer?
I don’t see the problem, this is in a lot of games. Even in RO, if you played Alchemist, you’d be afk farming 80% of the time. That was the advantage of your class. Just like this is an adv for having a pet.
The AI is slow, so it’s not like he’s killing more than 1 mob a minute.
Eventually it’ll add up, but not that big of a deal.

well here’s the main issue with this methode.
seeing how easy it is to obtain said pet people can do this with a brand new character. yes i’m not kidding. i checked on every single character in the crystal mines and ALL of them were new characters.
don’t get me wrong, i don’t mind this behavior if it wasnt so common. but if imc allows this behaviour bots will start doing it. and then what? o now it’s suddenly allowed? no it’s not it will never be allowed neither by players not bots. and tbh this behaviour might as well be considered botting.
long story short even though most people will think this is a temporary thing it will go out of hand really quick.
at 1st it was 1 or 2 guys doing this. now every spawn location is used by people and not even people! i can garentee you that at least half if not more are done by botters and rmt’s (selling high lvl characters)
this is NOT and acceptable playstyle.

In my opinion there is nothing wrong with afking in the presence of monsters with ones companion out, Most players has their companion with them at all times and you can’t really punish anyone for where they choose to go afk.
I see a lot of awful solutions proposed in this thread, i think it would be most appropriate to have companions stop attacking altogether if the player has not moved or attacked in the last 3 minutes.
rigging of the attack key on the other hand is very unethical, as it is categorized as absentee play, no matter if it is macro, wedged key.
