I wasn’t sure if I should post this in the bug section or if it’s actually intentional but the “+30 Magic/Physical Defense” buff works in TBL.
With and Without Penguin.
The fact that the Penguin can only be bought from the TP shop doesn’t help either.
I just hope this was an oversight…
Also, still works even when penguin is unsummoned. Could be just an oversight and will likely get fixed in the future. Not sure when. XD

30 def/mdef is useless in this game, just play a pvp meta build and u will kill ppl in battle league
What I meant by unsummoned is you still assigned the pet to a particular toon so only that toon gets the buff even if pet is not brought out.
Fairly enough, a character cannot have more than one land companion at the same time.
In cases of Falconers though, maybe there will be flying companions that provide buff in the future? XD The owl maybe? Toucan?

I’ve played using my Hoglan before then the Penguin and haven’t really felt in significant difference. Maybe there is (especially against R5s but that’s their fault), but it’s negligible in general. You still get one-shotted or CC’ed to death.
30 def/mdef means u get 30 less dmg so unles 1.000 u will take 970 dmg
Weird. I thought it adds into the base pDef/mDef, right before all other calculations are applied.
I will test it when I can.
