I was using a swordsman1>peltasta3>squire3>murmillo:
It was last updated in Sept '17, without a 9th rank. Right now I am Peltasta c3, and I have no idea what to do, since squire is not among my list of class advancements.
Is this a glitch? If it isn’t please tell me what I should do from now on, because so far I’ve read that peltasta c3 is basically useless.
I want to make sure I understand. Are you saying you are unable to select squire in the rank advancement screen?
Yes.
I am hoping that it is a glitch so that I don’t have to make a new character, but it seems unlikely.

Not even corsair is there 
There’s a scroll bar on the left of the screen, have you tried scrolling up?
yep, it just says something about the next rank, like the other white lines/text
Get to rank 4 class lv15 first and check the options again.

Also you might want to consider templar instead of murmillo for better utility.

Thank you for the suggestion, I have seen multiple builds with templar in place of murmillo, but I assumed that the class was better left for people who wanted to be guild leaders, or experienced players.
Not really. Since most people just use squire for camp and food or as a shop class, they’d rather take templar since it has a skill that lets you warp to your guildmates. It’s pretty useful if you ever decide to join a guild.
