I’m trying to make a templar build that isn’t completely horrible, that can tank and dish out passable damage. Right now my character level ~65 is working toward this:
Now I know this probably isn’t as good for a templar as something with fencer, but I really don’t like the rapier aesthetic. I also like that this build can swap between sword/shield and 2h sword with few weapon-restricted skills.
That said, I know it’s advised against but I’ve been musing about building a C3 Peltasta. I like the idea of my swashbuckling hitting more targets and I love their style, particularly the high guard stance and butterfly animation. I was thinking about trying to make something like this work:
Some choices probably need explaining. The one rank of hoplite was for spear/pierce access and some multihit abilities. I don’t know if that’s the best choice on that rank. Stabbing has that evasion attribute which might help tanking a bit. But most importantly, I’m trying to compensate some for low damage from going pelt3 and templar. Does this build accomplish that well enough? Any better ideas?
