Peltasta C3 question

Class and Rank Swordsman

I’m a Tank player and no matter what, I keep going that.
In the end I want to go to Fencer and then whatever comes next.

The stats are not the problem this will comes later.

Now question is, if Peltasta C3 is useful. Currently I’m Swords C1 -> Peltasta C2

My Idea:

Swords -> Peltasta C3 -> ? C1 -> Fencer C2(C3)

Peltasta C3 because Max out Swash Buckling, High Guard, Guardian.

A lot of people told me, that Peltasta C1 is enough and C2 more than enough.

I found a Build that tells me:

Swords -> Peltasta C2 -> Rodelero C2 -> Fencer

Pelt 2 enough and go Rode 2 for example Slithering or maybe some other Ideas? ^^

I know that I can do whatever I want but asking here for serious Answers will help me out.

Just again, I want to be a Tank as most as Possible (Def, Dodge, Block)

Problem with tanks is, there is no C7 tank class. At all. They removed Centurion from the game (I guess it was too gimmicky), so tanks have to improvise now.

You could go pelt3 - hoplite3 for some added mobility (Strides) and a lot of extra block (Finestra) sacrificing what’s left of your Evasion - and spamming Spear Throw in melee (with Bind attribute) is an added bonus.

Or go rodelero for a lot of added CC and Slithering, just keep in mind that some Rodelero skills are single-target oriented (high kick and shooting star have little to no AoE attack ratio).

Fencer is maybe an option for builds with lots and lots of dex… Just keep in mind that the higher the level, the more Magic-using monsters, and you can’t dodge magic at all.

Pelt 3 Hoplite 3 it’s pretty nice.

If in the Rank 8 is no Tank Class come in I would go ->

Pelt2, Hoplite 3, Dragoon OR Cataphract.

New Spear skills and a little bit more Damage ^^

These days everybody seems to fall in-love with the spears…they forget all about SWORDS and SHIELDS and POTS and BEARDS :triumph:
Remember! these are the true pillars of a tank!!!111!1!!!

Well, I’m still using a Shield but the Skill Finestra is only working with Spear weapons so I’m forced to use them xD

@Phinion yeah, Finestra is a great skill all in all :slight_smile: and spears seems to be the safest choice right now for swordman, because dragoon is a legit pve class that works well with almost every swordman build.

BTW, i have no idea whats going to happen in the future, but maybe its worth remembering that one of the future swordman ranks (maybe 8th… maybe 9th… who knows) is called “Lancer”. there is no information about that class but - you can see the class custom design if you look it up on google. from the way it looks - it seems to be a heavy armor type of class… and the name might indicate a use of lance (new type of 2h weapon?) or maybe 2h spear. anyways, seems like a natural progression for any hoplite or dragoon build, so i guess this build is also future proof to some degree, but again this is all theorizing and not based on any facts.

Tanks are learning new things i guess :smile:
